Well...I am married...but even that can be hard. My wife is still a JW and sometimes we come to logger-heads over the fact I do not want to go to the meetings. She has even said to me that if I do not worship Jehovah she cannot stay with me...But that attitude seems to have died down now. I think that as something do with her being fed up with the Congregation she is in...Which is the Congregation I really have no love or affection for.

Do you think it`s hard to have a relationship after you leave?
by dido ini have been out for 4 years now, and find it hard to meet someone who i find is compatible.
one of the reasons being is that they haven`t experienced what it is like to come out of a cult, and i find there is a void there.
does anyone else feel like this?

greetings from another newbie
by lost_sheep inwell... i've finally worked up the courage to get an account & start posting on this site.
i've been lurking for a couple of months now, voraciously reading all the, mmm, "delightful words of truth" i've found here.
i'm currently deep in dubdom, so i have to be pretty ambiguous about some personal details, (i'm really paranoid, hopefully that will pass :-/) but my story in a nutshell is: i was born into this religion, baptised in my mid teens, happily married to a wonderful (& thankfully, somewhat open-minded) jw lady, & now, several years later, i'm starting to seriously question some of what i believe.

I used to try and behave...apart form eyeing up all the sisters...I was not married then.
But the last District Convention I went to which was 2004, I parked in a car park near the Convention and has it was a nice green area there where lots of families listening to the Convention with radios and sitting in chairs....instead of going into the stadium....I decided to play Cradle of Filth and Marilyn Manson full blast from my Car stereo... i got some evil looks...but it was so much fun...One brother asked me to turn it off so people could hear the convention. I turn round and said "I am not your brother so F**k off!" You should have seen the look on his face...Then he wanted to know my name and the congregation I attended...again I just stuck my middle finger up and told him to "F**k off and leave me alone" I started to get out of my car, and he very quickly walk away....Mmmmm! wife returned from the stadium with our daughter, and she was none the wiser.....That was the best convention ever...Hehehehehe!

Do you believe that Demons really Exist.
by MARTINLEYSHON inthe reason why i have asked such is question is that i served as a congregation elder for 12 years.
i served as the presiding overseer for 10 years, and as chairman and media spokes-person for a particular region.
during my time within the organisation that being almost 30 years, i have concluded that there is, as far as my own experience is concerned grave doubt in my mind as to the existence of the devil and his demonic hoard.

Of course demons exist...Ask my father................Satan.
No..but seriously...when anything bad happens to a JW it is either Satan attack them or some thing Demonic. I lent a brother a CD once and his father through it away has it had a small picture of a cross on it..and he claimed that since the CD came inot their house they were under demonic attack.
Also a while back now I struggled to get time of work to attend the Friday of the District Convention..eventually I got the time of, but the Thursday before I was involved in a car accident (not my fault I must add) which meant I could not go on that day in the end anyhow.I was told it was Satan attacking me and tryuing to stop me from attending the Convention.
Anyway, I will leave all the demons and ghost / spirits and the such like to Living TV.

Man, 37, held as girl, 11, has baby
Police have arrested a 37-year-old man after an 11-year-old girl gave birth to a baby boy.
The young girl went into labour at Hillingdon Hospital in west London on May 5.
She and her baby have been taken into the care of Hillingdon Borough Council, a spokesman for the local authority said.
They are now both the subject of care proceedings, he added.
The girl, who is thought to be from Africa, had gone to the hospital complaining of stomach pains but went into labour as she sat on the toilet, The Sun reported.
A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said officers arrested the 37-year-old man at a house in Uxbridge, west London.
He has been been bailed to return to a west London police station in July while officers from the force's child abuse team continue their investigation.

I know that these days I should not find anything shocking anymore. But I feel so sorry for the little girl. It is so sad that she was sexually abused and not only that but to become pregant and have baby from such abuse. 11 years old...she is so very young.
It makes me wonder if this sort of thing had happened in the congregation...would any of us know about it or would it be kept under-cover.
I also struggle to understand how a 37 year old man felt sexually attracted to a 11 year old girl.
Very sad news...sorry to post something so depressing
