Stephanus:
***But he was still treated as one, by them, with all the rights and privileges that go with that acceptance, including the door to door work.***
And when he gets out of prison for his "alleged" crimes, he'll resume all the same rights and privileges, just like other JW ex-con pedophiles have in the past.

Never trust brothers you don't know!
by 5thGeneration inwell, i broke it to my super devout parents that after this i don't believe there is any reason why i should trust any 'brother' i don't know around my kids.. no way, no how!.
they had to admit this was pretty shocking and enlightening but they still ended up making excuses.
the society will soon have to drop the 'we are better than everyone else' argument for sure.

Anyone hurt my girls!
by 5thGeneration inwith all of this talk of the recent predator i discussed with my wife what i would do to someone that did that to one of my girls.... may be controversial but.... caveat: my wife was a victim of attempted rape when she was a teen (non-witness) and then was also molested as a kid on a trip in the caribbean.
my sibling was also abused sexually.. all i will say is that i saw a video a few years back of a father who's son was kidnapped and raped by his karate teacher.
when the teacher was extradited and returned to the states the dad was there pretending to talk on the phone and then turned around and put a bullet in the sickos head.. can't say that that wouldn't be my reaction if anyone hurt my girls!.

I saw that case on TV, too. If I remember correctly, the father was not prosecuted.

***There is no proof at all for reincarnation far less any record of it. Do you know of any? On the otherhand, there is proof and record of resurrections.***

Got the call today
by LennyinBluemont inwell, after fading for 5 1/2 years, keeping a low profile, hoping to keep the lines of communication open with the ones we loved for the last three decades, i got the phone call today.
they let me know it was two elders on the phone and they needed to talk with me about a judicial matter in that some serious accusations were made against me.. background: in march of 2005 i was contacted via email by a "sister" we have known for 25 years who we have always felt very close to.
i'll call her julie, because that's her real name.

After fading from the org 3 decades ago (never DAed or DFed), I would deal with any JW elders that might call or visit me concerning "apostate" activities in this way:
First I would laugh long and hard for about 5 minutes. Then I would threaten to sue them if any public announcement is made concerning me. Then I would tell them get lost.
Their pattern is to run like scared little bunnies when litigation is threatened. -

***He ran into him at the Library and told him he could not wait to be a grandfather and was looking forward to the day my son called him grandpa. What is the point of that? It made dad so mad.***
That's exactly why he did it -- to make your dad angry. More JW christian love in action.
I drew the line in the sand when my son was small, and my parents never stepped over it. They knew I would not have let them see him if they insisted on force-feeding "truth" to him. Fortunately, they chose love for their grandson over their WTS imperatives. Your parents may need an ultimatum: Keep their religious views to themselves or risk being disfellowshipped by you. -

How Jehovah's Witnesses are told to treat disfellowshipped Relatives.
by jwfacts inin another thread it was mentioned the witnesses do not shun disfellowshipped relatives, so i thought i would copy a few articles that show the watchtower says quite definitely that they are to almost totally shun relatives, along with some examples that i know personally.
i personally know many that have not been contacted by their parents for years;my cousin was my best friend, and for a year before my disfellowshipping week after week i spent hours with her and her child, who spent 4 months of his first year in hospital.
on the day of my disfellowshipping i was informed that i am no longer welcome there, and i have not seen my second cousin for 6 months now.

***Islam is much qucker and more merciful when you leave them! They just kill you on the spot.***
JWs kill their dissidents "spiritually" and look forward eagerly to when Jehovah will kill them physically. Even if what you say about Islam is true (doubtful), their lack of mercy is only slightly greater than the JWs. -

Two Visits From Jehovah's Witnesses This Past Week
by TMS inmy wife and i were both on ladders painting the exposed boards of our storage shed on a weekday when a car pulled into the driveway across the street.
mr. and mrs. gomez were not at home.
like most of the homeowners in this community, they use these homes only on weekends or holidays.

Hey, sunspot, I'm in my mid-50s; 64 looks mighty young from where I'm standing!
You sound like you have the right attitude to come through this surgery with flying colors. Your fears are nomal and in no way make you a "whiner." Best of luck to you with your surgery. My thoughts will be with you tomorrow. -

" i have been inactive for more than 10 years, but my wife is still brainwashed and my mom was very faithful to say the least.

What a terrible experience. Such insensitive and cruel comments during the traumatic experience of losing your parents and trying to carry out their wishes. It's stories like these that reinforce my determination never to go to another JW funeral, even for family members. I'll pay my respects privately and then go away and grieve privately. If the rest of my family and the cong think badly of me for that, so what? They think badly of me anyway. I'm not going to endure any more of their heartless treatment. They had at me for long enough when I was a kid.
