  i watched a history channel show re: the antichrist.

  very interesting with different perspectives for the books of daniel and revelations.

  one thing that really got me thinking...the book of revelations--they state that it may symbolize things that were happening during that period of time...not things to come.

  The call came around 8 pm last night

  i called out to my soon to be ex, who now lives in different part of the house and told him to pick up the phone as it was his call.

  the sister and brother in law had just landed home from the district convention!!

  Bet the WTS is referring to those slippery "biblical" hours; you know, the ones that might mean actual hours, or days, or years, or 1000 years. As more time goes by, the WTS will fall back on those "new light" hours.

  Ear ache...help!

  for the past 24 hours ive had an ear ach in my right ear.

  my hearing is muffled and its starting to throb now.

  last saturday i went swimming in a lake and at first thought i had a case of swimmers ear.

  See your doctor right away. Ear infections in adults can be much more serious than in children, and can result in deafness. My brother-in-law is deaf in his left ear because he self-treated an infection instead of seeking medical help.

  Did you stop believing Armageddon is coming?

  how many just stopped believing in the jw predictions/description of what armageddon is all about?

  ive met exjws that stopped believing in everything they were taught and ive met some that stopped believing in everything except armageddon.

  ive heard comments like: boy wont they be surprised when the day comes and they find out they arent the only ones surviving.

  I agree with SirNose. We humans don't need god to drop the big-A. We're perfectly capable of doing that ourselves with nuclear weapons, overpopulation, pollution, deadly viruses.

  i bought this thing at a garage sale a couple of weekends ago for fifty cents.

  all i had to do was replace the batteries and it works fine!.

  it's a trs-80 pocket computer (model pc-3) that you can program in basic.

  i attended my mother's memorial at the kingdom hall saturday afternoon.

  even with the jw sermon tagged on, my cousin did a lovely service for her.

  there were many jws and non-jws in attendence.

  come "scholars and friends" allow us to discuss whilst time allows it who herein is mentioned.

  is it we "apostates" or the "spirit guided society of god on earth today" or is this the "literal" in the midst of the "prophetic" so it becomes void in interpretation of the "society".

  his charles manson-esque beard doesn't seem to help, either.. mel may be a powerful guy, but something tells me there'll be a price to pay for his anti-semitic remarks, even if they were made in a sauced-up state.

  I agree with BizzyBee -- The character an actor plays has nothing to do with the actor's real personality. I enjoy movies, but when I watch a movie like Braveheart, I fully understand that it's Gibson playing a part, with clothing someone else put on him, and lines someone else wrote. Unfortunately, fans and sometimes even the actors themselves come to believe the screen persona is more real than the actor him/herself. Always a mistake.
