  so after pulling away from the witnesses... or attempting to.

  the came to my door.. yet again and invite me to their district convention.

  i told them about my boyfriend taking my witnesses stuff and she went on about how that is very rude and he doesn't sound like the best guy.

  Going to another church

  i have been missing some meetings... i don't know what my jw teacher thinks.

  i seriously could care less at this point.

  i just don't want to do it anymore... i want to praise god my way... not because some else says this is the way.

  Is this a "staying in the group" technique?

  i noticed that some of the members in the church are giving me gifts... for no apparent reason.

  are they just nice, or do they do this to keep me in the church.

  also, if i hear the word "the truth" one more time... ahhh... i keep hearing it left and right... it seems weird to hear.

  Brainwashed Children

  i noticed an elder showed a picture of "paradise" and asked "who are the people dipicted"... .

  serveral children answered and said the same thing "they (look like they) are witnesses" -- .

  it was as if these children were taught that only jws are right... which they probably were.

  Socializing

  so... every meeting i go to... my jw and this one woman (rebecca) constantly tell me to socialize with people.

  but... i am a shy person... i can not just go up and talk to people i don't know.

  why do they keep pestering me to socialize... can i just not worship?

  Do you regularly lie?

  although i love my parents, very often they lie to try to get out of a jam.

  then they have to lie again to cover the first lie.

  and often for really stupid reasons, they will lie instead of saying the truth and being direct.

  How weird is this?

  i had an eye exam recently, expecting to need a new prescription.

  for about the 4th time in a row, my eyes have improved.

  the eye doctor told me that if i was a new eye patient, he would tell me i didn't need glasses.. i've worn them since i was 16 and i am now 60. i have astigmatism, but he said it is so slight, that i could easily get by with the lowest correction in reading glasses.. he said i didn't need to get new glasses unless i wanted to get some.

  Graduating

  i am graduating this saturday... and i am so relieved.

  i think this will help me with stress issues.

  i will have more time to sit down and think about what i really want.

  Non JW marriage

  this one christian (non jw) and i are starting to get close.

  i was wondering... if i did marry a christian (but a non jw)... would the church look down on me?
