based on an informal conversation this past weekend.... an elder with "connections" to the local rbc stated that he heard that the society was instituting a moratorium on all kingdom hall construction in the us and canada.
any projects for which funding has already been arranged will continue, but as of now, no new kh construction loans are being approved by the society.. there are enough projects in the pipeline that rbcs will still be busy for the next year or 2, but after that....who knows?.
my thoughts:.
What took them so long?

Time is just more bullshit in a world of bullshit.
Invented by man, of course.

as i have told before, one turning point in my exit from the wt was a conversation with a close friend about the "ransom".. we were in the (french) bethel library, i don't remember what we were talking about until she said to me: "you know, i never understood why jesus had to die for us.
" this surprised me so much that the only reply i could offer consisted in reciting the wt theology which she, of course, knew as well as i did.
and as she kept smiling at that i began to understand what she meant by "i never understood".. this was the first in a series of conversations which led us very far from wt theology and started me reading the nt again from a completely different perspective.. this basic question ("why jesus had to die") is central to christianity and, when you actually read the texts, already produces dozens of (slightly to wildly) different "answers" in the nt itself, not to mention later theology.. however popular religion does not work with multiple or complex answers but with unique and simple ones -- the variety of which constitutes the complexity as they add to and combine with each other in "history," i.e.
Adam is positively portrayed as the founder of the extant natural (psychical), mortal, sinful mankind;
But this portrayal is AFTER the fall, no?
What about BEFORE the fall?

My point is that no NT writer explained it this way and this is a modern understandingHave you considered that this understanding may actually have been a revelation by God?
I don't say this as support to the WTS, it is just a thought.

so, they just finished an over-priced un-needed remodel at one kh in "beer town" wi.
ordered by the building committee said the elder "formerly known as" the po (coboe now).
low and behold unknown to 99% of the rank and file the kh which also contains the living quarters of the co is on the selling market.
as long as there was plenty of "Bulldog Ale" ,his favourite beer,in the fridge, and cartoons on the TV, Albert was happy!Hey, that means I could eventually become a CO.
Actually, I don't need the cartoons, so that qualifies for DO.

Nark,
I never understood why Jesus had to die until I understood that he had to die to make up for what Adam lost.
Does it REALLY have to get more complicated than that?
Isn't that the major point concerning the relationship between Adam, Jesus, and us?

i have made repeated attempts to move on with my life since your arrival 23 september but cannot.
a change of venue, that of diet, even new clothes have afforded me but a frivolous and temporary elevation of spirits.
accordingly, as i am thus paralyzed by a most profound sense of melancholia, i lie in bed, starring at a black sky, and pine anew for what little contentment life once offered up.
coco,
I went back to the good old days, starting in 2006, of course.
I looked up some of your posts, and as I looked through some of the threads, I noticed the many that no longer post.
I noticed all the fun we used to have on JWD.
All of the crazy personalities.
What happened, dear brother coco?
What the hell happened?
Seriously, .

may 4th was the 15th anniversary of my mom's sudden death as a result of a brain aneurysm.
she died near the arkansas-tenneessee border on a tour bus headed for the brooklyn headquarters.
there were a number of over jws from my, then, local congregation with her and my dad.
I'm sorry, Bro.

the above title has nothing to do with personal relationships nor religion.. my life centers around the pursuit of the arts, which, obviously enough, involves much research.
what i find striking is not so much that some creative souls live in relative obscurity [i.e., they never become discovered] but that some of the most famous and sought after artists through time - writers, actors, composers, etc.
- have fallen from the public's favor and are often never heard from or about again.
coco,
I think a lot of it has to do with luck.
