  a rumor alert indeed, but it could be related to the distribution of kingdom news no.37, "false religions end is near.".

  however we have found out that there is going to be an announcement sometime in september and it is supposed to be shocking.

  If I remember correctly, the "Divine Name" brochure says that Jehovah's name does not appear anywhere in the Greek Septuigent, so they have inserted it where they think it should go.

  trying to get rid of old issues

  remember how at the district assemblies they was always the sign to only use one paper towel.

  and that paper towel was so thin that it didn't dry your hands.

  but you didn't dare take more than one towel because everyone was watching you.. after all this time i still feel slightly guilty about taking more than one paper towel when drying my hands in the restroom.

  it really makes me angry when they say i love jehovah.

  they don't know what they are talking about.

  if they read with an open mind the carry-ons of this cruel mesopotanian god they would feel ridiculous and embarrassed for putting this god before their family, their children.

  Fourth of July

  i was just wondering.......i know jw are not allowed to celebrate the fourth, in fact it can we a jc issue, but where we live there is a huge celebration downtown and every year i see 90% of the witnesses i know down there, "not celebrating".

  they are doing the same thing all the other "wordly" people are doing to celebrate the fourth...and alot of times jw will buy fireworks and let them off the day before, as if thats different.....how do they justify this???

  does anyone else have anything around them that jw will participate in but not call celebrating????

  There were a couple of people in our cong. that would have the turkey, with all the trimmings, ON Thanksgiving Day. Some would even go to restaurants serving turkey dinner on that day.

  An elder told me that there was nothing wrong with having turkey on that day, as long as you were not celebrating the holiday. He was our p.o. at the time and he was neither young, nor new.

  when i was going to meetings i raised a question at the book study when the daniel book was being covered.

  when nebuchadnezzar had the image built all the people including all the rulers including the hebrew ones were commanded to bow to the image.

  it was brought to the attention of neb that three hebrews had not bowed down and it resulted in them being saved from the feiry furnace by an angel.. my question was then, where was daniel?
