  ok here is my deal.... for those of you who don't know already i have never been df'd or da'd.

  i just quit going, and was never baptized.

  (that will become relevant later).

  After reading all the response to your question I had to put my 2 cents in.

  No I would not go and I would not send a present. I'm going thru the same thing with my grandaught. She was married last Feb. My husband and I were not invited to the wedding. I sent a beautiful clock to her anyway. No thank you note nor that she even got it. Been 2 yrs. since we ask our 1st questions. and we have been shunned since then. Our middle daughter has nothing to do with us. We are not da nor df. She just had a baby Dec. 13th and our daughter has not let us know anything. She had the baby c-section. My youngest daughter keeps us informed and she is a god send. We are 70 yrs. old and it is really hard to loose your family after being very close. Good luck to you what ever you decide. Desertflower

  I lived in Cottonwood for serval years and went to the meetings there. So I do know some of them there.

  i have several little nieces and nephews in my life.

  in doing so i have watched them grow from being these little babies, to these children that run all over my house when they visit.

  they are a lot of fun, but some of them have the most nasty of habits.

  I HAVE A GRAND DAUGHTER THAT USE TO SUCK HER THUMB, MY DAUGHTER TOOK HER TO THE DENTIST AND HE PUT WHAT THEY CALLED A RAKE IN HER MOUTH AND IN ABOUT 2 WEEKS SHE NO LONGER SUCKED HER THUMB. REALLY WORKED. DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE TOES!!! YOUR RIGHT WE ALL PUT OUR FOOT IN OUR MOUTH ONCE IN AWHILE. DF

  TODAY IS MY HUSBAND AND MY 51 ANNIVERSARY.HAVING A SMALL PARTY WITH SOME OF OUR FRIENDS. EX JW AND WORLDLY FRIENDS. ONE DAUGHTER WILL BE HERE.& ONE SENT FLOWERS. WILL HAVE FUN NO MATTER WHAT. THEY CAN NOT TAKE ALL OF OUR JOY AND FUN AWAY. WE DO LIVE IN VEGAS . THERE ARE A FEW OF US THAT KNOW EACH OTHER. TOO MUCH TO DO IN VEGAS AT THE CASINO. BUT THERE IS A LIFE HERE BESIDES THE STRIP.   taking time out to recover from the borg's machinations and its resulting stresses, mrs ozzie and i are recuperating, but well and stress levels are starting to go down.

  WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE FOR THE ORGANIZATION?

  we've heard how some are convinced that loyal witnesses would do almost anything if they were told by the organization to do it.

  some have even suggested killing if that's what was required.

  how far would you have gone for the organization when you were in its clutches?

  My (elder) son was df while I was still a JW. NO I did not shun him. I didn't agree with what he did but he is MY SON my love then was unconditional and still is. DF

Many priests and Levities resided in Jericho when they were not working at the temple, for Jericho was onlly 14 miles from Jerusalem. Hence they undoutedly had occassion to travel that road. Note too that the priest and the Levite were going along the road " from Jerusalem," thus heading away from the temple. So no one could rightly justify the indifference of these men by saying "they avoided the injured man because he appeared to be dead, and touching a corpse would hav emade them temporaily unfit to serve at the temple. ( Lev 21:1 Num 19:11 ,16) Is it not clear thJeat sus' illustration reflected things were familiar to his listeners?

  After reading this I thought I had not heard this before. Have any of you got some thought about this???

  i am only 18. i was just wondering if there is anyone else out there who posts and is so young.

  or how old you were when you (1) left/faded from the jw organization, (2) how old you started posting here, and how old you are now.

  I MAY BE ONE OF YOUR OLDEST POSTERS. I'M 69. WAS IN THE WT SINCE 1956. LAST MEETING WAS MEMORIAL OF 2000. FOUND RAY FRANZ BOOK BEFORE THE INTERNET. THE INTERNET HAS REALLY HELP TO KNOW YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I WAS 68 WHEN I LEFT. HAVE NOT BEEN DF NOR DA. ALL MY CHILDREN ARE STILL IN. WE ARE BEING SHUNNED. YOU YOUNG ONES ARE REALLY FORTUNATE THAT YOU ARE OUT BEING YOUNG AND STILL WORKING TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS IT IS REALLY HARD WHEN YOU GET OLDER. FEEL BAD THAT IT TOOK US SO LONG TO SEE WHAT THE WT REALLY WAS. DF
