I don't visit as much as I used to and I hardly say anything much of significance anymore but I do enjoy stopping in when I get a free moment. I can't even begin to tell you how much this forum helped me when I was "in the thick of it" a few years ago. I can hardly say thank you enough for that...

i have been out a long time, and i have recently noticed a lot of you making mention of smurfs.. obviously, i have missed something.
has the watchliar sociopath society "demonized" smurfs somewhere along the line.. reminds me of the old fear of paintings of clowns, with big eyes, that made the rounds back in the late 60's, early 70's.
You probably could have got some decent cash for that smurf watch today. Though unrelated to urban legends, I still regret having tossed my Weebles.

We call 'em rotaries and they are very, very common in the Northeast. I don't find them confusing at all. Just like most Boston drivers, I close my eyes, hit the gas pedal and go- pretty the way it's done around these parts.
Ballistic, Boston streets are notoriously poorly marked, narrow, overcrowded and occasionally hostile. I never thought I'd say something like this- but you may be safer in New York.
But at least you can pass on the right in massachusetts!
i've been in an upbeat mood lately.
i don't know if it's all the exercise that i'm doing or what but i've not been moody all 3 weeks.one thing that i've noticed, is that i've listened to certain songs that made me forget about "her" and move on with bigger and better things.
when i was depressed i listened to some songs from tool, some from the cure, barbra manning, the old babyface songs,some from sade, sweetback, and maxwell and everything but the girl.

some politicians are saying this would be "racist".
The purpose, it seems, would be to limit the amount of letters one must place on the average road sign. For example, a "no turns" sign wouldn't also read "no turno" or "no turnee"- thereby saving petroleum which is a fraction component of the base in road sign paint.
Okay, that last part is pretty much crap.
However, I doubt this so much about decreasing the usage of alternate languages in the United States and is more likely about finding a more er,"universal" language that could be used in the everyday mundane life experiences (like one-language road signage etc.)
years ago, before coming to this board to read for awhile and then post, i first ran across this website beyondjw.com.
it had a message board that seemed pretty active, keep in mind i was shocked at the time to even see former witnesses in message boards.
well i went off line for awhile and never really looked at former witness sites for along time and when i checked that message board, it was just an information website with links to other boards, like this one.
That was the first website I posted on. I didn't realize it had closed down. I'm sorry to hear that.
