by BurnTheShips inthe prescient stock broker, and austrian school econ guru that called this current economics crisis well ahead of time.
i remember him in 2004/2005 like a voice in the wilderness.. http://www.newhavenindependent.org/archives/2009/02/netroots_promot.php#013623.
web-savvy libertarians in california have launched a nationwide movement to draft a new haven-born celebrity pundit to take on connecticut u.s. sen. chris dodd.

For years I attended Spanish meetings when available. The combination of reading aloud, listening, and speaking was very helpful. I knew quite a few "anglo" Witnesses who learned to speak Spanish that way. I have also spent five years of my life in Puerto Rico, so that has been a major help too. I must add that it seems to be a never ending process, so don't get your expectations too high. Think in terms of learning for years. Once you have the basics of the language down pat, it becomes easier to add vocabulary.

How many ATHEISTS don't believe that they came from FISH?
by hooberus inhow many atheists are there who don't believe that they came from fish ?.
the outspoken ones that i have come into contact with always seem to (when pressed anyway) advocate such a thing.
many of them surely even put something like it on their car, such as:.

Rather than respond to an 8 month old post, I will respond here.
The cherry picked references in your post that include abiogenesis and "everything in the Universe" in "evolution" fail to differentiate between the broad definition of "evolution" as "change" and the specific Theory of Evolution that is based on natural selection in populations of living organisms. See Defining - What Is Evolution?
For example, when astronomers speak of stellar evolution, they are not refering to the Theory of Evolution of biological terrestrial organisms. Nevertheless, the Universe is "evolving" as are the galaxies and the stars within them. Astronomers can tell us quite a bit about how stars like our sun probably came into existence. They have a theory about where the matter and energy originally came from. However, there are things they still don't know, things they may never know.
Frankly, I know enough about astronomy and biological evolution now to say that I really could care less about this worn out debate anymore. I am satisfied with mainstream scientific explanations. My posts above were intended as a bit of humor. If you and Ben Stein want to believe in God and Creation, that is just fine. Oh, and yes, my ancestors (and yours) were animals, and some of them were like modern fish. What is so bad about that?

...Food tastes Better with a "Cow Pee" Soft Drink !!...
by OUTLAW inby matthias williams.
new delhi (reuters) - a hardline hindu organization, known for its opposition to "corrupting" western food imports, is planning to launch a new soft drink made from cow's urine, often seen as sacred in parts of india.. the rashtriya swayamsevak sangh (rss), or national volunteer corps, said the bovine beverage is undergoing laboratory tests for the next 2 to 3 months but did not give a specific date for its commercial release.. the flavor is not yet known, but the rss said the liquid produced by hinduism's revered holy cows is being mixed with products such as aloe vera and gooseberry to fight diseases such as diabetes and cancer.. many hindus consider cow urine to have medicinal properties and it is often drunk in religious festivals.. the organization, which aims to transform india's secular society and establish the supremacy of a hindu majority, said it had not decided on a name or a price for the drink.. "cow urine offers a cure for around 70 to 80 incurable diseases like diabetes.
all are curable by cow urine," om prakash, the head of the rss cow protection department, told reuters by phone.. prakash, who is based in hardwar, one of four holy hindu cities on the river ganges where the world's largest religious gathering takes place, said the product will be sold nationwide but did not rule out international success.. "it is useful for the whole country and the world as well.

why do we call ourselves apostates?
by recovering ini think that the very act of questioning the teachings of the watchtower society does not make us apostates!!!
does not the bible teach us to examine what it teaches?
that is what the apostle paul says in the bible.

Remember that the "news" media has two purposes,
1. Provide information
2. Direct attention and shape opinion.
So, I ask myself, what information is being provided and by whom? How are they attempting to shape my opinion and to what purpose?

There is a little known science called Ecology, and industrial civilization is run in almost complete disregard of it.
Permaculture is a "technology" developed in the 1970s that uses ecology as a design process to align human activities more closely with natural systems.
It is possible to increase biodiversity and provide for human needs too.
It is possible to restore fertility to land damaged by poor agricultural practices.
It is even possible to turn deserts into productive forests based on the design principles of Permaculture.
Permaculture has been successfully put to use all over the world, but...
industrial civilization does not like competition.
Industrial civilization would rather eat the planet and shit it out its tail pipe instead because that is the most profitable thing to do.
The technology and know-how already exist to care for the planet and the human family, but it is unmarketable, puts human needs ahead of corporations, and actually involves work.
Therefore, it hasn't got a chance.
