  hi all.. my mother in law got "a talking to" by 2 elders today.

  thing is, we all live together, my jw mother in law, my disassociated wife and i, and, our little girl.

  we have all been living together for 5 months or so.

  Do u think it could go as far as disfellowshipping???

  If it did it wouldn't suprise me. They will probably just remove privledges and mark her for now though

  pretty much living my entire adult life in jw land i had such a one sided biased against the world including gays...in my own family there were a number of gay members that i thought i was so above them and better than them because the bible said so...i had a cousin die of aids in the early 80's and felt no remorse at all...since my departure 4 years ago i have redirected my priorities in life to include those of not my way of life...i currently have a gay cousin about my age and see the world in a whole new light...i no longer feel superior to anyone and accept those for who they are...this has been a long and hard road back to simplicity i'm just sorry it took so long...

  I'm glad you feel that way and it's nice to see that many more people are coming around to a similar way of thinking. Only when enough people are willing to do this no matter what a person's language, religion, colour, ethnicity, or gender are will the world really become better

  We have SUCH a long way to go...but there is hope.

  Is It Me Or Are The Males of Today More Feminine and/or Nerdy Than Ever B4?

  when i turn on the tv, i see so many fem men that i'm realizing that a 'manly" man seems to be a relic of the past.. metrosexuals rule the world now.supersensitive males who are in touch with their feminine side are the norm.. the john waynes & burt reynolds have been replaced with ryan seacrest lookalikes.. ladies, do you find these metrosexuals all that attractive?

  I saw it the weekend it opened in Montreal. The cinema was packed for both the midnight and 12:30 showings.

  i have a few which still either anger me, make me sad or just make me grateful that i am no longer one of them.

  1 - "well, everyone is going to die anyway, so if it at armageddon then ce la vie" 2 - "the disater today at the world trade centre is sad, but exciting" 3 - (an elder) "when armageddon happens, i want to be at a window, watching it all".

  Here's the latest POS my mom said to me after my daughter began encountering severe financial problems: "Well, if she was going to the meetings this wouldn't be happening."

  That is such BS and shows how out of touch she is. Many many people who go to meetings have very severe $$$ probs...and we all know why. My own sister is among them.

  who likes Battlestar Gallactica?

  i am curious how many of you watch this.

  i find it far more fascinating than many other shows, but i am biased, always had a flair for traditional horror as well as quality sc-fi.

  but the producers intentionally dumb down the special effects (filmed in hd but virtually posterized for effect outdoors) so as to focus on the plot lines and character development.

  I'm a fan of the new series.

  I like how real it is, how it depicts the infighting etc. You'd think they'd all have something better to do like find earth and survive but no, can't wait to get the politics started up and infighting going. Yup...very real show. This is why humanity scares me.

  Living forever...that's always struck me as odd. Although "the meek" as a group will inherit and live forever upon the earth there is actually no direct evidence, only supposition that individuals will. Plus, the very concept freaks me out
