This one wasn't very "Life Saving"!
Elderly heart patient killed after his body was accidentally drained of blood following NHS blunder
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1320838/Patient-dies-blood-pumping-machine-left-switched-drains-body.htmlA pensioner died after his chest was bled 'empty' when he was wrongly connected to a blood pumping machine and a hospital worker left the room.
NHS staff failed to use enough clamps to disconnect 76-year-old Dr John Baines from the device after a gruelling six-hour bypass operation, on January 29.
This meant his blood was pumped into the machine, which was filling in for his heart and lungs during the surgery, but not pumped back into his body.
An inquest heard how the pensioner, a former research chemist, had survived the complex procedure only to die days later due to brain damage caused by the blunder.

Do You Understand How Elders Think?
by minimus insome here have been treated terribly by elders while in the organization.
some were treated kindly.. why do you think some elders are task masters while others are milder?.
do you think they're all the same no matter how they come across to the "flock"?.

The Elders I know just don't/can't think, they are company men with 'opinions';
there is no way to understand them.
Their opinions do not agree with the FDS written words.
However they are very competent liars, also have great ability to hoodwink the CO.

Do you trust a JW when it comes to $$$$?
by William Penwell inwell i thought there was one thing i could count on with my ex jw wife and that was she would not go back on her word.
to make a long story short, after we were separated and i signed off on the marriage, my ex gave me her word that she would not go after my pension.
well a few years later guess what?
-
fokyc
NO, definitely NOT, it doesn't make any difference whether it's £££ or $$$$
JW's are just humans with all the same traits when it comes to honesty!

Were you ever embarrassed or somewhat ashamed when the WT patted themselves on the back in their own articles?
by miseryloveselders ini was browsing through the december 2010 awake, and noticed an article on the earthquake that happened in haiti earlier this year.
it didn't take long for the article to disturb me.
the third paragraph initiated the sanctimonious tone that is present througout the article.

It seemed good to start with in 1952; BUT now I just want to throw up.
The mags are bad, but when they do it from the platform; ugh!

In a VERY famous UK case a few years ago, when the Elders contacted the police;
they said, and I quote from a witness statement,
"She is not a real Jehovah's Witness as she only comes now and then, she doesn't often put in a report".
As it turned out she had to be dis-fellowshipped when sentenced to a prison term;
therefore she must have been a witness when the elders spoke with the police, so they lied to the police; didn't they?
In fact she was a born in witness with both parents in the same cong. but just because there was something distasteful to the elders they said she wasn't one of them.
IF they had been sensible they could so easily have dis-fellowshipped her BEFORE going to the police;
then in all honesty they could have said, "She is not one of us".

*Grace* According to JW's. Your thoughts will be appreciated.
by Lily Pie inhi, i'm a bit of a lurker on this site occasionally, just to help me understand my jw relative.
i am so curious to ask this question, but i fear asking a practicing jw, because you know, they can be a tad evasive, and maybe defensive too.
lutherans say.
