Bound Volumes aka Garbage

i recently moved and finally tossed out about 500 lbs of watchtower/awakes and bound volumes going back to the 50's .this sister unloaded them on me before she moved and at the time i thought they were like somekind of holy writings.
i kept a couple of the old ones so i can use them to start fires in my new place.

What a pain in the ass those huge boxes were, Always getting in the way and for what ? I faded from this cult some 4 years ago and held on to them like God was going to ask for them back. I never quite knew why they always encouraged you to get them and to start your own library.
Anyway, I was just checking out the updated fourm and thought someone may get a laugh out of it. This Cult kinda F'ed me up for a while and I have finally moved on to the real life. It's no picnic having the pain of waisted time on your hands but I feel it could of been worse. I'm still on the good side of 40 and hopefully have at least 40 more to go.
This place was a turning point in my recovery and I like to say hello every once in a while. So Wazzzzzz up.

im an atheist and i like the idea of being an athiest but its kinda hard
by Lotus65 inim an atheist and i like the idea that comes with freedom of though and analytical thinking that follows being atheistic vs having a religion im just kinda in a jam because i need to try and find something to completely lose the thoughts in the back of my head that say what if im wrong and i "suffer" because of it.
i feel that if i can find something to destroy these thoughts i can be alot more comfortable with my views and opinions.
anyone have any thoughts on what i should do.

Witness work at 2 a.m.?
by Fatfreek ina non-jw friend in a southern state has close ties to a jw with a late teen-aged son.
this son is pioneering during late hours, meaning 11 pm to 2 am.
i'm told his car group calls on, among others, convenience store workers where they apparently have much idle time on their hands.

I had a pioneer in Arizona who counted the travel time it took us to get to and from the Grand Canyon.
He started his time in the morning when he placed a tract with someone in a parking lot. ( He accually said " Well, I guess I'll get my time started "
Whole trip took about 10-12 hours . I couldn't beleive that people were so fucked up to count time like this.
It was an eye opener for me.
