  STATE TAX FOR LITERATURE.

  i have read that before 1990-91 witnesses would pay for literature at the kingdom hall , collect donations , and keep whatever they got in exchange.

  is that true ?

  i came in much later and it was never talked about now that i can remember.

  Agnostic/Atheist/Religion

  i feel that since i have lost all faith in the society, i feel myself drifting further and further into more agnosticism / atheistic thinking.i am finding it harder every day to believe in a god or holy scripture.

  i actually feel more at peace now not feeling like someone is watching me.

  religion now rings a wicked song in my head that sings of control, power, money, greed, and endless seas of falsehood.

  a couple from the hall i used to attend had visited me at work ( i work in a public place ) .

  they where some of nicest people i had met in my time involved.

  it was nice to see them and one of the first questions they asked is if i were ok with their heads tilted.

  How about this one ?

  i was visiting some friends from out of state that had moved there from my hometown.

  when one of the friends that was from their cong.

  ( pioneer ) said they wanted to get their time started before are 4 hour trip to a national park walked into a supermarket to hand out a tract.

  did anyone answer the question like i did ?

  my gut always said no but my heart said yes.

  i wanted to believe in living forever like in those dam pictures, i wanted to be building those houses and hanging out with people on grassy mountain sides and have a freaking lion that would never rip my head off and that i could wrestle with.

  it's only been a week since i found this fourm.

  my story is a long one but some have been through the mill worst then me as i can see.

  it was only about 1 month ago i read ray's first book and finished it in less than a week ( i'm on his second right now ) it took me over a year after i stopped attending meetings before i could look at anything objective about the wts which happend to be that book.
