  Let me hear a witness, agaisnt the witnesses..!!!

  i was in the grocery store and someone called my name.

  i turned around and it was a young ex jw sister who had been d/f several years ago.

  i walked up to her and hugged her , said i havent seen her in so long, yadda yadda.

  Good for you!

  As I was reading that, I was thinking, 'there out to be an organization doing this....really reaching out to these d'fd witnesses, etc.'

  Then I realized that the WTS would be standing on their head to FORMALLY condemn it, they would indoctrinate their people to discredit, rebuke and probably be supersticiously terrified of it. Having anything to do with THAT organization would REALLY be a sign that a person had sunk into the deepest clutches of the underworld (yawn).

  Then, the more I'm thinking of it, I'm wondering....might it not be worth a try?

  How might it change things if witnesses knew there is a place to go, someone to turn to, should they get d'fd?

  How helpful it might be to hear it rumored that such organization was NOT made up of a bunch of d'fd folks, but of EX-ELDERS and their wives!

  Just a thought ;-)

  a branch overseer of an asian country who happened to be visiting some of his family members in our area, gave a talk this evening in the hall that i used to attend.

  i have not been attending meetings for months, but decided to go when my mother, a devout jw, came to visit me last week.

  the branch overseer had just returned from attending the annual meeting in new york.

  fierce clashes between philippine marines and abu sayyaf rebels on the southern island of jolo left at least seven soldiers dead and 25 others wounded while trying to rescue four female jehovah's witnesses.two male witnesses were already beheaded by the rebels.. .

  Has the Society at least encouraged JWs to stop trying to preach to people in this hellish area? Or even ALLOWED them to stop???

  Or are they going to have to wait until 'Caesar' makes a law about it?

  A Night With The Sex Slaves From Hell.

  it's absolutely true, her ladyship and i spent saturday night with the sex slaves from hell.. we'd driven down to celtic country - cornwall - to view the eden project wow, don't miss it, it's stunning!

  more on that another time.. but..saturday night we visited charlestown, where we decided to have a few bevvies at an interesting looking pub called the rashleigh arms.

  inside there was playing an outstanding band that put me in mind of fairport convention on speed.

  i was doing some research on the wt cd, trying to find an experience i remember really frightened me into never leaving the org..(that's what it takes now to keep people from leaving...fright!

  ) and i stumbled upon these quotes from the 3/15/96 watchtower...... 10 loyalty to jehovahs visible organization also means having nothing to do with apostates.

  loyal christians will not be curious about what such people have to say.

  non, je ne regrette rien.. mr. moe has said that she doesn't want to enter her 50's (that's about 25 years off, btw) and look back on her life with a feeling of regret.. relax, you probably won't!.

  you see, i have made the most apalling mistakes in my life.

  For the record, I didn't set foot in ANY church for 12 years after leaving JWs. Then, it was probably about another many feet in many churches for several many years before I finally found a place where I feel 'home'. Like I am worshipping in community with other, like-minded individuals.

  Life is a journey. Faith is a journey.
