  Anyone here trying Byetta? New Diabetic Medicine from GIla monster spit.

  i'm going to ask my doctor for byetta on monday.

  my sugar has been running in the high 300's and i fear i am crashing.

  the oral meds don't do it anymore and i need to lose weight.

  Yes I take it, I started off with the 5 and took it a month then my doctor switched me to the 10. Yes it will make you feel sick at times, I found that if I took it right before breakfast and then before supper then I didnt feel so bad. It really helps with the appetite and works well with metforman and avandaril. It really works for me hope you have success with it also.

  ever know any professionals that became dubs?

  i can't think of any myself, no doctors, lawyers, business owners (i mean medium to big business, not just one guy cleaning windows, etc).

  Yes I know of 2 doctors that have practiced in our area, one moved back to Dallas Tx because his wife just couldnt stand the small town life (population 15,000) and the other is still practicing in a city about 50 miles from my town, he is from the Dominican Republic and is a Diabetic doctor, he is really nice. He always makes sure that he leaves the office early enough in the day to be able to make it home for the meetings. Poor soul, just doesnt realise what a waste of time it all is.

  wednesday, you are an interesting person.. cabin in the woods, you are about my age, where you live sounds beautiful, and i can sympathize with you about your children's views of their childhood.

  I also enjoy reading the profiles but have found that so many dont put anything down in their profiles. I am not df either just inactive but I dont have any fear about being found out here on the site because as one posted that would make them an apostate also!

  once again, world events come along and give the wt a free booster shot.

  nothing better than coming home from the dc, opening the paper and seeing headlines like "mideast in flames" "is nuclear confrontation far off?

  " "north korea tests nuke capable missiles" etc etc.

  I remember when 911 happened, I hadnt been going to the meetings for a while and when I woke up that morning and saw what had happened I just fell apart! I just knew that this system was comming to an end and I was going to die because I wasnt a strong JW.

  See how crazy this organization makes us? I went and got the revelation book and started reading like crazy! and started going back to the meetings and see how long its been since then and no end to this world like they have been telling us!! I dont believe a thing they say now and I have finally started researching the Watchtower and seeing how many lies they have told us, its been hard to deal with all the lies that I grew up with but at least I am free from that now!

  it used to make the conventions almost bearable.

  i rememeber telling the wife and kids to not put anything in any contribution box, because as the head of the family, i had taken care of it.

  I too ordered the book and am enjoying it alot, but I can only read it at work or when my husband works nights. He hates it that I am reading what he calls apostate lititure even though he has been inactive for 23 or more years. I highly recommend it to anyone that is a ex JW.

  Hello To Everyone! I'm new here...

  it has been a cycle of being a full fledge witness then reverting to a state of total inactivity for my family and i. we do awesome for a month or 2, then we're missing in action for another 6 months.. where i am breaking this cycle, i say no more, my husband who was raised in the 'truth', remains inactive yet devote in heart.

  i respect that.

  this is all he's ever known.. however, i was raised a good little mormon girl, left one church claiming to be the only true religion, i know i can do this too.

  Welcome to the board, I too am married to a inactive husband who is still a true believer in the JW beliefs (we both were raised JW's) and for the past 22yrs I tried to be a good JW but I finally have had enough. It is hard to celebrate the holidays and as some have said just take it one at a time and over time you will get past the guilt. We will be looking forward to your future posts.
