I'm in agreement with Mulan. If I didn't have to believe everything they said without question I might have stayed. And the DF'ing thing. Losing all your friends and family...Well that's just not right!!!

Feild service and answering

i was wondering how you all felt about feild service.. i didn't like it all all,i would have minor anixety attacks and sweaty palms before i went door to door.

i would have a hard time taking a door,so one time,my loving "sister" left me standing at door by myself.i remeber being "happy".

i was very uncomfortable going to peoples door and trying to force religion on them,when they didn't want it.i only went out because it was imbedded in my mind that i had to go door to door to save peoples lives.i didn't want to have blood on my hands of the people i may have helped save with god's words.. with the answering,i almost passed out...lol..i used to be painfully shy.when i didn't answer enough,i would be judged as not being spiritually(sp)strong.the woman i was studing with would try to raise my hand up.the way i looked at it there was no accepting of who you were...had to be like the social butterflies to be accepted.now thats what i call love.

Answering was no problem. I didn't like to do it but I did. Field Service I hated. I hated waking people up and telling them something they already heard 50 times. I hated everything about it.

My wife who is still an active JW hates answering. She is very shy and after she answers she is shaking. She goes out in field service but only about once a month. Because she is so shy when she talks at the door she is shaking.

can the marriage work

is it even remotly possible that a marriage can work if the wife is a jw and the husband who has been one for over 30 years is on his way out.

is there any advice on how this can work or is it just doomed for divorce!!!!

i love my wife and kids but she's not handeling this very well at all.

Thank you all for the replys.Metatron you are exactly right. Everyword. I think I will use the depressed thing becasue I know that will work. All my apostate learnings are done at work. I look up a few at home and she gets upset so I'll just stop that part.

Bona...You didn't hijack my thread. Its always good to hear from people that are in the same situation that I am in and I wish you the best in yours too.

Dragon..You are right. She says she wants it to work out and so do I but this JW thing seems to be bigger than both of us. But we are both going to try.

Kingdom halls without holy spirit

have any of you guys ever notived how many jw's complain about "other" halls not having jehovah's holy spirit?

when i was a jw i moved a bit and was in several different halls.

i heard of a number of halls not having jehovah's holy spirit and that in time jehovah would clear things up.

I was told this when I moved into somone elses territory. I was told that the congregation didn't have Jehovahs Holy Spirit and that my service would suffer there. About 1 year later my old congregation had to DF one elder have one MS step down DF 3 publishers and one person tried to commit suicide. MY new congreagtion was doing just fine. Where'sJehovahs Holy Spirit now??!!

What Bad Counsel Was Given To You By The Elders?

i've heard a ton of "bad counsel" given by elders such as "you should or shouldn't marry this person", "give up that job", "you should pioneer"........were you given any "bad counsel"?

Are you kidding!!!!

Don't move out of state (I did)

Quit your job as a radio announcer and sell cable (I did...idiot)

Quit you job as a radio announcer and work in a factory (I did..big mistake)

Don't move to another congregation(I did...worked out fine)

Forgive the MS who tried to get with your wife (I did...TWICE)

It was all bad advice. These are just ordinary men making ordinary decisions. HOLY SPIRIT MY A$$!!!
