i think mine was a success.....when the men pass out, dinner was good!.

I was a little shocked at the amount of fat that came from the bird. In past years I could count on enough juices to make gravy. Just to be sure I added 1 cup of stock to the baking pan before roasting.
When I poured everything out into one of those fat separators, there was nothing but 2 cups of fat. The bird was very moist, but I wonder what they are doing to get these birds so fat. Had to use chicken stock to make the gravy.
It was a 20 pound fresh Butterball.

yes, what was the biggest lie that you can think of, that persuaded you to realize that they were not who they said they were ?.
for myself it would have to be the year they picked as the destruction of ancient jerusalem 607 bc.. i have an assumption this was done purposely to coincide correctly with making 1914 an a important pivotal date.
in human history, which by all factual evidence it was not.. unassuming and deceiving manipulation for self marketing purposes.
1975 and millions now will never die...
among other adjusted thinking.
actually i'm hiding out.
here's what happened 30 mins ago.... .
... been busy all morning preparing to go to our son's house next door.
Gregor, OH NO NO! Run out and pick up some flowers for her (even the ones at the local grocery store thats still open and an apology wouldn't hurt either. You go from peeling all those apples, to that statement.....what were you thinking?

my husband just called me.
he said that he's is leaving field service and is on his way home.
i told him to bring something to eat but not anything too heavy.
Enjoy your day!

why are there so many 'debbie downers' in this world?
you'd be *shocked* as to how many jw's are saying on facebook about "why do people choose one day a year to show thanks?
you should really show thanks everyday" .
They would like to think they don't celebrate, but they do.
Excuses I've heard through the years:
Turkey is on sale.
Everyone is off of work.
Relatives are in town.
We have the turkey on Friday when everyone is shopping for Christmas. The turkey, stuffing sweet potatoes, gravy, vegs. and pumpkin pie.
(Hmmmm, sounds like Thanksgiving to me) All the guys watched sports the entire day waiting to eat too!
I never heard a JW turn down a Turkey dinner. ON or NEAR the date.

i know it sounds crazy but i am having more fun with this than any other hobby.. i joined cornell university's: http://www.birds.cornell.edu/pfw/.
the fights between the squirrels and jays is hilarious to watch, and i get new species every day.
i finally put out food on the ground for the squirrels and they are dive bombed by the birds, making them jump with about 3 feet in the air with surprise.. the birds and squirrels have become so tame they don't panic when i come out to fill the feeders.
JD I'm laughing.....I use to have a large English bulldog, a Persian cat, and a parrot.....
The parrot would torture the cat when he was asleep, he use to call him over to the cage when he couldn't get at him. (here kitty kitty).
The bulldog was beat up by the Persian. ....Slapped silly all the time. Many years later.....different pets.
My Doberman at this point comes and lets me know the cat needs in.....she gets in and then slaps the Doberman silly. Oh the sadness of wounded feelings of a Doberman,....every single day.
