  hey all,.

  i'm practically brain-dead this afternoon, unable to handle anything of any intellectual level to speak of.

  so i thought i'd drop by watchtower.org and see what drivel they were passing off these days.. one of the lead articles is "should i get a tattoo?".

  Almost there....

  For your amusement....my brother was a JW but was never babtized. A few years back he dated a tatoo artist.

  He had a his entire back done with a woman standing in the ocean with some kind of lizard performing an act on her.

  My parents never got what was happening in the scene.

  It is really quite obnoxious, but I think it was just his way of getting free.

  Women are always to blame in society. In the WBTS, they are the ones that get blamed if a brother is "tempted" either by the way she dressed, or if she dared be alone with the idiot......or fill in the blank.

  In the real world they are blamed if a man (oops) strays.....she led me on, it was the way she was dressed, my wife wasn't taking care of me.........blah, blah, blah and blah.

  Nothing changes.

  I hold them all accountable. My grandmother came in the late 20's or early 30'. She had 6 out of 7 children fully indoctrinated.Some served time in prison, some went to Bethel, one was of the annointed. Most became elders. Some sold their homes before '75 leaving homes and jobs to wait for the "End". The youngest of fthe family, the last 2 siblings probably exacerbated the damage with their children, which by the way are not in and most are agnostic. ( Not her children, but the grandchildren.}

  But it does not end here, the great grandchildren, are subjected to mental abuse and guilt despite the fact the parents have long since rejected this religion.

  What a legacy of crapola.

  Does this make any sense? My kids are 4th generation still paying for all this shit even though myself a grandchild rejected it long ago.

  I had a really bad one in Jr. High and Highschool,,, The "N" word and Lips.

  It's kind of bizarre that women are running to have plastic surgery to duplicate my mouth.

  I was so traumatized I still can't wear anykind of lipstick at 47.

  at our special assembly day, there was a visiting speaker from bethel.

  don't remember his name, but he was a humorless and austere gentleman who was very clearly a company man.

  he said many questionable things, especially in the way he generalized about "the world" and "worldly ones.

  I bet the kids were screaming bloody murder the whole time.

  The WBTS over Disney .....yep I'm gonna buy that. Or maybe I will knowing they were probably beat into submission.

  As far has husbands loving their wives because they love themselves. B. FkN S. I saw many women beat by their husbands in this orginization. I saw bruises that covered their backs or shoulders,......never the face mind you.

  When elders were brought in the question always was, "What did you do to make him beat you."

  This subject really gets me furious. I saw too much.

  Has anyone appealed a D/f, and what was the outcome?

  i appealed against my d/f because i wanted to expose the elder that d/f me, the chairman.

  i thought it was so hypocritical as he had been calling at my house alone (yes alone) making sexual innuendos, i never invited him in, but couldn`t believe the things he said to me.

  then when i was summoned to the j/c, him, his step father, and his side kick little elder friend were siiting in judgement of me.

  Yes, I was 16 at the time and the elders had me hung before there was any meeting. 1 or 2 would show up at our home and read scriptures about how evil I was.

  Eventually there were 3 that came and did the same. I ran from the room in my own house. It was announced the very same week.

  My mother wrote a 10 page letter to New York, It took 3 months to get a response and they assigned 5 men from another hall.

  I sat in front of those fellows alone, and physically and mentally fell apart.....I was still 16. The questions asked were abhorhent and I was accused of things that never happened.

  I don't remember the ending except that it was REVERSED. ....a land mark case in the mid 70's.

  Since no one had ever heard a Dfing being reversed people were not sure what had been announced. The same night it was announced right before mine that someone had been reinstated.

  A reversal means it never happened and all was to be removed from my record. The problem is, I never lived it down. My case was brought up at circuit assemblys as to how NOT to disfellowship.

  Too little, too late.

  I think that's what septic systems are for, ( before sewage treatment plants existed) .... My question is who is going to be pumping them out? AND.....where is that stuff going to go?

  I have to say I agree here. Although I went to an all white KH, the circuit and district assemblys were about 50/50 (black and white).....I always enjoyed the ethnic diversity and was raised to believe we are all the same.

  During that same time period the high school I was to attend had terrible race riots with buses being tipped over etc. (Chicago suburbs)...most of my school mates still used the "N" word. There was much hatred, I was appalled.
