  How would you respond if a Witness tells you that you are "negative?"

  when i bring a subject up and then talk about old wt's or the blood fraction, i occasionally get that response.. yes, i know i can reply, "but i am telling you the truth.

  don't you want the truth?".

  but i am looking for something more subtle, something that can help a witness to get beyond their cognitive dissonance.. but without a standoff.

  You can turn it back on them. Give a little look of surprise and say,

  "So are you saying that the Societys teachings are negative?"

  Wait for them to answer so that the cognitive dissonance can set it.

  After they huff and puff and and make some feeble protest, say,

  "How can we teach others if we don't have a full understanding of what the Society teaches both past and present? I don't know about you but I would be embarresed to go out preaching door to door if I didn't even know our own history!"

  Need Copy of Recent "Questions From Readers" About JWs Eating Fats...

  when i attended a support-group meeting in february [2009], someone in the group brought a wtbts magazine with a very odd "questions from readers" on the back.

  [may have been the jw version of feb. 2009 watchtower??].

  the "questions from readers" was something to the effect of "are jehovah's witnesses allowed to eat fats?

  She was "breathing" through me before she was born,

  The Society sees a blood transfusion as being equal to eating blood.

  However taking oxygen through your nose is not the same as taking oxygen through an umbilical cord.

  Their nothing but legalistic cold-hearted idiots.

  I knew three sisters who lost full term babies, my heart goes out to every one ot them. It just enrages me to think how carelessly the Society would banter about this legalistic nonsense.

  The most exciting thing to happen in the sisters john at my old hall was one sister acusing another sister of giving her husband (the first sisters) a BJ.

  It was true, she had. This poor sister had a Monica Lowinski thing going on, that bro wasn't the last bro she laid lips on.

  There were always brothers in the hall sniffing around that sister......................................................... big surprise.

  Now don't you ex-bros wish you were in my old hall?

  i was wondering what to say to the elder after i complained about a brother that did me very wrongly and he said do not worry about him, he told me only to focus on my spiritual health.

  what should i have said back to him?.

  Is that your usual response when someone comes to you with a problem?

  (It really doesn't matter what you say. If an elder told you this it's because he feels he has more important things to worry about then your silly little problem and he wants you to just pissoff.)

  My family doctor says that whenever she or her doctor friends have a patient who is dying and they don't know what to do about it,

  they just call the watchtower bible and tract society to find out what to do.

  She said that there medical advice is always spot on and as a matter of fact most of the info she needs is right there in the Awake anyway!

  about two weeks ago i was having lunch at an establishment that has tables set up on the outside (actually a sidewalk) and as i was waiting for my order, i overheard two guys talking at the next table.

  a homely guy who had a pretty girl on his arm brought this response.

  "wow man, look at that!

  There's way more available women then men in the org, so the men have plenty to choose from.

  The women just have to take what they can get.
