minimus got me thinking with his thread about whether or not you know anyone that committed suicide.
i think it might be interesting to see what the opinions are.. what do you think?.
are there cases where it is understandable?
I could never understand why some people feel that suicide is a selfish act.
To me, it's like saying "I have to live so they should have to also!"
Plus, way to kick a person when he's down. When a person is suicidal, they are in an extreme amount of emotioanl pain, to call them "selfish" is just plain cruel and insensitive.
did you view them as men who truly cared about you?.
did your heart sink in fear when an elder came to talk to you?.
were the elders nothing special to you?.
Elders...what keeps them from being slam dunked off a wall?

The good part about it is how quickly it's over, it's just a flash of anxiety and then it's gone.
When we were dubs the anxiety was non-stop.

I've been out allmost 15 years and I still get meeting night anxiety almost daily.
As I'm reviewing what I need to accomplish that day, somewhere in my brain a voice says "is it meeting night?", followed very quickly by the awareness that it will never be meeting night again.
It's all over in less then a second. It's like when someone surprises you suddenly and you jump. For a very brief moment you are panicked and scared and in the next moment you realize it's just your friend and there is nothing to fear.
It's like PTSD.
