every time I studied the Watchtower with my wife, it was on like Donkey Kong. Meaning somehow our clothes came off and we ended up in the bedroom.
Praise the lord!
i attended one day of a two day assembly and did ok until the very last talk.
the brother was from bethal and well jw's pay closer attention to their talks, cause that is when some new info is given,,,right.
well anyways i lost focus and began to daydream, cause it became one of those talks that just talks about wasting time.

do you regret not having said it since you can't be afforded the opportunity now?.
.
" circumstancial fornication "
hilarious
why is it that the characters in the convention drama always have a kid called randy?
he is always the good kid in the illustration and the elders always address him with "hi randy" in cowboy film accent.. he in england randy has sexual connotations and means lustful or promiscuous.
are kids actually called randy in the us?.

It means the same thing here in the states.
But we also have names like Dick and Fanny.
a couple of young people about 20years old,,,,were involved with each....they went too far with the being alone situation....not sure if they reported themselves or some one else did...reguardless.....i guess the elders asked both of them extremely embarrassing questions and very very personal ones...like what kind of underwear she wore,,,,,did she have an orgasm.....etc etc..... i do not understand why this is done?????
they went too far,,,acknowledged it,,,,met with the elders...why the deep personal questions??
they already had all the information they needed...... i should know these things,,,being in the borg for 30 years...but i don't,,,i really do not understand why????
mental rape
That is a good definition.
If you are a victim of any kind of sexual abuse, the elders must hear every tiny detail. Even if they refuse to do anything because there was not two witnesses, they still want every tiny detail.
So that means that if a young girl gets raped.
She must sit before the elders, alone, three against one, while they ask all these questions.
It is a rape in inself.

OK, I get it, touching a loved family member during prayer MIGHT offend sombody.
But talks discussing anal and oral sex presented before gradeschoolers and toddlers is A OK!
we had our special assembly day a couple of weekends ago.
some of the highlights:.
it is futile to store up material things they will only end up in the landfill.
*wanders around the room, swearing and shaking fists, and other acts of total frustration*
nice to see that I'm not the only one that gets crazy over nonsense like this
no more of this..... .
"who feels this way?".
.
I like things clearly labeled too, so I agree.
But watcha gonna do, if everyone was just like me then I'd never learn anything new.
i would love to hear your experiences when this worked out for you.
i had a great turning of the tables when i was 22. the con.
went out to a park for picnics, softball, that sort of thing.
asphereisnotacircle said
"well he didn't feel confortible talking to you".
that was the excuse my assholes gave too
yeah, this wasn't the first time someone was "offended" and sent an elders to make a call.
I actually think it wasn't another JW that was offended, I think the elders just like to use a straw man excuse when actually it is the elders that have a problem with it.
The elders allready have an incredible work load, I just don't see them running erands for some member that got their feelers hurt. They just "invent" an offended person so they don't look like that bad guy.

Great story, I love it.
I have a similar story.
My jw hubby and I had a retail store. One dreary Febuary we asked one of our employees to change the window display. Do something bright and cheery my husband told her.
So she did a window display all in red. A few days later an elder came around to have a talk with us. He came to our place of business and asked to speak to both of us during retail hours, and no, he did not call ahead., he just showed up.
Well it turns out our red window display stumbled someone because valentines day was approaching.
My husband confronted the elder and said that if a brother had a problem with him the bible says to talk with that person directly.
Well the elder hemmed and hawed over this, said stuff like, "well he didn't feel confortible talking to you". which was silly because my ex was one of the most appraochable people you will ever meet.
Anyhow, the elder continued to berate us for a while, all the time my husband was waiting for the right moment. All of our employees were JW's and this elder knew it. My husband told him about the instructions he had given the employee but the elder did not see this as an excuse, saying "you are responsible for this, if this person loses his faith, it's on your shoulders". Hubby finally said "well lets talk to the employee who did this and proceeded to call this employee into the room.
When the employee walked in the elders face was priceless, it was his own wife. My hubby and I enjoyed their expressions for a moment and then without a word left the room for them to hash it out between them.
i and another semi former witless (he's inactive and doesn't actually believe any of the bs) were having a conversation over some beer last night and watchtower land came up into discussion.
i told him that at some point, long before i actually stopped being physically present at the meetings i just knew that i wouldn't be a dub forever.
i remember the fact that i did not even want to admit this to myself and i spent a long long time denying the thought and trying to reestablish "the truth" in my mind.
I was still a dub when my first husband and I split up. I knew immediately that there was no way I would marry another JW.
