Do you find debating with a JW exhaustive?

i certainly do.. i have been debating with two jw's on another forum about the un issue.

i have produced so much evidence that the un did have their citeria of support when the wt society became an ngo, all from the un itself.

yet because the wt statements say that they didn't have that criteria and it was changed later the jw's refuse to believe anything else.. sometimes i think what's the point talking to these people.

Sometimes i think what's the point talking to these people. It certainly can be a mental drain.

I thought he was in London - when did he move to Australia

He moved there many years ago. Not sure exactly when, but i remember seeing an interview with him around 10 years ago and he'd moved then. Paul

this happened to me throughout my time as a jw.

this would often happen on saturday morning before service.

sometimes as early as 4 am because i was expected to go out in service afterward the waterboarding.

Revolution in Iceland

reykjavik, iceland: thousands of icelanders marked the 90th anniversary of their nations sovereignty with angry protest monday, and several hundred stormed the central bank to demand the ouster of bankers they blame for the countrys spectacular economic meltdown.. tiny iceland has seen its banks and currency collapse in just a few weeks while prices and unemployment soar leaving a country regarded as a model of scandinavian prosperity in a state of shock.. the government played roulette and the whole nation has lost, .

anti-government protests have been growing larger and angrier since icelands three main banks collapsed in october under the weight of huge debts amassed during years of rapid economic growth.. .

will all global reaction to this world wide economic crisis eventually follow suit?.

I watched a report a couple of weeks, where they interviewed an Icelandic economic acedemic. He said the source of the Icelandic problem, lay with roughly 20 individual bankers. Obviously the government didn't give enough protection, but in a capitalist society and with the freedom of the markets, bankers have to hold their hands up and accept some sort of blame. Yet we have instances where countries now are bailing out the bankers. Which in my view is reverse Socialism, in Socialism money is taken from the rich and given to the poor, now we have the farsical situation where money is being taken from the poor and given to the rich.

Just my rant

what a total mindfluck!.....this was not supposed to happen.....and i only (completely) woke up two years ago....so accepting my own mortality has not been easy.......i currently make good enough money....but damm....now i have to think about retirement?!?!?

?....and ya....just cause i have a touch of asthma ocassionally...i wont be able to get health insurance in a few years cause i am self-employed??

?....this just fluckkin sucks.................oompa.
