My parents just split up
by digderidoo ini don't know why i'm writing this post.... it's not for sympathy...please do not offer any.... after 33 years of marriage, my parents have finally decided it's all over.
they seperated last week.. i won't go into details....but it's what they both want.
in a sense i feel happy for them.

a bizarre decision!!!
by digderidoo inhi guys...i just wanted to share with you all something that happened over the weekend, that i found really weird.. on saturday i went to a cousins wedding.....we are quite a large extended family, not jw's(only my mom is a witness), so it was nice to be with the family on such special occasions.. throughout the evening i sat down with a cousins husband, who i hadn't seen for about two years.
we had a pint and he decided to get out a pack of cigars.
now these cigars were big fat ones (you know the cuban type)...he lit up.

June 7...How will you vote?

how will you vote?.....now that we are allowed to vote it would be interesting to see what political persuasions we have.. for me it is important to vote.
for years i have been told that i cannot voice my opinion....however to vote for me is one of our fundamental human rights.

u know lennox lewis just got caught with a lucky punch don't you?.
after a rematch, i'm sure the belts will be back over here again where they belong.

Marijuana...should it be legalised?
by digderidoo inafter talkin in chat tonight....it has got me and a friend talkin about whether marijuana should be legalised.. my view...yes, .
i) who has the right to tell me what to do with my own body?.
ii) alcohol is a legalised drug....each year more deaths occur through alcohol abuse than marijuana usage.. iii) people smoke it anyway and the question is not bein addressed.. iv) it's great to get stoned!!!

1975 - After 26 years isn't it time to move on?
by digderidoo ini'm relatively new on this site...but one subject i've noticed that seems to create alot of interest is that of 1975.. our family became witnesses it 1983 so i wasn't around at the time.
forgive me if i do not understand why many were so angry with the wts at the time.. i understand the point that the society blamed individual witnesses and didn't take any responsibility themselves.
i can see how witnesses got angry over that.. but, what i do not understand is why many still research into what the society said, or didn't say, or insinuated.

Well............this is me
by digderidoo inwell, i'd just like to say hello to you all and introduce myself.
i've spoken to a few of you on chat and i must say this site is well worth logging on to.
it's nice to be able to speak to people who share a common experience to myself, although at times i've found since i've been here through the last week, it has started me thinking again of my experiences in the truth...is this good or bad?.
