this morning a thought occured to me "has the society ever made a prediction or prophecy that has come true"?.
most of us are familiar with the prophecies or dates the wts has emphasized in the past.
of course all of those predictions never proved to be accurate so the question is, "if this is god's prophetic organization where is the proof"?.

This doesn't make any sense - on one hand you are saying that Jehovah gives the WTS the true information (messenger) but on the otherhand the information that they predict is wrong (predicter). maybe i'm just not getting your logic, but this seems to be a contradiction or "doublethink"
i feel sorry for all jw's who get sucked in by the thinking "we will love you as long as you are good enough for jah.
" but, i feel worse for the children.
adults are able to decide for themselves, whether it's a religion that they want to persue.
I'm 24 years old, and was raised a JW since I was 2 years old. I really missed out on alot of things...makes me so angry sometimes.

we have people who have gotten out of the watchtower, good for all of you.
My wife and I are still active JW's - we attend about 75% of the meetings. We are planning to do the old "fadeout" within the next 6 to 9 months (once we move away) because we don't believe most of the WTS teachings.

after considering purchasing a handgun for self protection, our family decided that pepper spray would be a safer, effective, solution.. so, i went out and bought some today.. i wonder how many jw's realize that if an elder finds out that you bought pepper spray for self-defense (even against animals!
) that you would be counselled by the elders?.
i remember an elder telling me about this being in a letter to elders.

i don't think you are correct in your statement. of course, i'm not certain, but I think they allow you to carry that stuff for self defense. by the way, although i can't come out and say who I am (i'm still IN) - i know you from the old days in warminster and hatboro congregations.
this certainly becomes clear very quickly when you see what love those here in our community have for each other.
its unconditional love too.. why, no one ever minds if you disagree with them or their personal experiences.
too, even if a disagreement arises it is handled in a loving manner with each individual showing respect for his brothers and sisters.. truly the on line community of jehovahs-witness.com shines as a light to the world as a beacon of hope, that, if our example was followed, peace, love and happiness would reign over a wonderful renewed planet, inhabited by people who have found a real peace of mind and ability to share their space with all.. truly, all jehovah's witnesses should want to join us in our wonderful land of freedom, where nothing can ever go rong.
i don't think any human being is better than another. maybe JW's are misguided, but they are still humans.

i don't think you've ever read 1st Timothy then. All Scripture is Inspired....hell, there's even a book by the WTS called that.
