  is the heading of the article in the religious section of our newspaper yesterday.

  moscow (ap) a moscow court has banned the religious activities of jehovah's witnesses from the russian capital in a move that critics called a step back for democracy and religious freedom.

  This is ridiculous....they aren't dangerous, give me a break. This a step backwards as far as religious freedom goes....

  i've seen the passion.

  thought i'd be moved.

  it supposedly has changed people's lives, caused them to confess sins (actually turned themselves in as criminals), etc.. please, can you explain to me why shindler's list didn't inspire such actions?

  We received a stupid postcard with an advertisement for the movie...from a local church. I find it extremely ironic that these same churches got all bent out of shape over DOGMA and George Carlin's BUDDY CHRIST, and now they are essentially doing the same thing...

  i know the question seems juvenile.

  but, i'm curious.. mine, i think, is a tie between wladyslaw szpilman's performance of chopin's nocturne in c-sharp minor and angela hewitt's version of bach's goldberg variations -- the aria is divine!.

  Thanks for sharing badwillie.....I used to just walk around the 700 level non stop...the last 2 years (2000 and 2001) Michalina and I would show up in the morning and leave after the first talk...or go to the wawa right next to show n tell strip club and come back w/ some good coffee...its always amazed me how I sort of a reputation of "being on the edge" when all I did was have sideburns and a non cult member hair cut...I honestly didn't do that much that was considered wrong.

  i know that this question has been asked and answered but i can not find the thread.. now that i do not have any family trapped in the cult, i do not have any interest in the seach for goofy proof to a goofy religion.

  i know that their own material is the best weapon against them.

  who would want a 37 year collection of books and bound volumes?

  good for you...that takes alot of guts....i know when i talk to my mom about stuff i start shaking and stuff too.....but the elders have never called us once in the 2 years since we left...our cards are still sitting in Willow Grove, PA while we are in Auburn, WA.
