in my old congregation, there was a group of dubs who started field service at 4am - yes, that's 4 o'clock in the morning.
i went with them on a few occasions.. to be ready, you'd have to be up at least 3:30am to get washed and dressed and maybe get a bite to eat.. at 4am, our designated driver would show up along with a couple of sleepy eyed jws trying to "get their time in.
" many times we'd go pick up a jw only to find they forgot about service and overslept.. .

I was 22 at that time and it was not easy being laughed and at the same time trying to keep a smile on my face.
Brainwashed into believing that Jehovah was pleased and that we were working along with the angels in finding the sheep.

well i finally through in the towel and filed for a divorce.
It's your choice eventually to confess or not, whether you sleep with someone or not it's none of their business.
let him wait on Jehovah since your ex has faith in him and remind him to follow the apostle Paul words and the watchtower to stay single and devote his life in doing more for jehovah and secure himself eternal life on earth. :-)
My ex also left me because of my "apostasy" and was not free to remarry and put me under a lot of pressure to let her be "free to remarry".
I waited four years and just two months ago i told her that she could remarry.. would not put anything in writing and just talked to the elders about it.
I confessed out of compassion for her, due to her mental state and financial problems and for the sake of our adult children in seeing her in such a miserable state and also to put a closure to my marriage. Time for both to move on.
Don't confess about anything for a while and let him realize how the rule of the watchtower is all F$%^^d up

I work for a company where 95% are Mormons and i have to say that they are intelligent, hard working people, much more balanced than the witnesses... this week i found out that all of them, men and women wear special garments, usually a white t-shirt and underwear that go down to their knees, and they only take them off for showering or having sex...reason for doing so, it shows their dedication to their church and provides protection for them and by the way, they are all purchased from the church.
Now how in the world can intelligent people believe that crap, yet they do, they believe in it and no matter how much you reason with them, it is to no avail.
The witness are in the same boat, they will continue to believe the crap from Brooklyn, New York.
just to give you a little background about myself, i was a born-in, i'm in my late 20's now, i faded away a few years ago after researching the history of the wtbs on the internet.
my fade was aided by moving away with my job(i definately feel lucky about that).
eventually, i had discussions with a couple of my closer jw friends about why i no longer believed in the wtbs.
Most Jw's even if they believe in their heart that they will die and not see Armegaddon in their life time, they will never admit it, they don't want to sound weak, faithless and go contrary with what the Watchtower preaches at every convention and thru their literature.
They also cannot fathom the thought that they might be wrong and and the watchtower might be just another religion with its own interpretation of the bible which is just as good as any other!
i can't.. some bar-bet between jehovah and satan balanced against all the evil allowed just doesn't wash..

I was one for 22 years and served with hundreds and most were very nice, we were just brainwashed to follow and enforce the F^%$&g rules of the Watchtower.

There are 7.5 million witnesses and it's safe to say that the majority still beleive it's the truth and contribute.
The watchtower will always find a way to use the scriptures to manipulate the minds and hearts of their members and
steal their money.
Let's keep in mind that everything is paid for by the local brothers such as insurance and medical for the CO-DO- and assembly hall.
Every Kh is owned by the societyand any new one is built on borrowed money from Brooklyn and is repaid with interest.
