Fading is the best in my opinion. You also piss a few of them off since they know you're an apostate and yet you were not DF .

I regret my disassociation.
by Zoos inif i knew then what i know now, i might never have disassociated myself.
i realize all i can do is speculate on what could have been.
however, when i consider the number of people i might have been able to help by dropping little thought-provoking seeds, i really regret having jumped to the decision to disassociate so quickly.. ive read the accounts of several people on this forum telling of how stressful it is to be in the position that i just described above.

Going Back for the Right Reasons
by startingover13 ini'm new to this site, but i have been following the topics for some time.
initially, it was during a deep search into the history of jehovah's witnesses, and yes, "apostate" sites.
i was born into the organization in 1989. my father was always more inclined to the organization than my mother, and soon after she was df'ed.

As the apostle Paul said " Prove to yourself the good and acceptable will of God' " Make sure of all things"
If you can do that with the watchtower doctrines than more power to you and wish you the best.....and by the way don't let people stumble you because there are jerks in every religion.

In effect the GB says the new testament was only written for the 144k - right?
by Comatose inbecause if you just read it then its plain that all should partake of the emblems and go to heaven etc.
they get around that by saying it only applied to those when written who all anointed and then a small group today.
so they take away the bible for the average witness.

As i look back at the "unique teachings" of JW's and makes me realize how much they have twisted the simple message of the bible that Jesus was the key to salvation and that's about it....
I should say after doing extensive research on the bible itself i just don't believe in it anymore and have no regard for any religion.

Is asking questions of logic about a Global Flood effective in waking loved ones?
by BU2B ini was thinking about using a tactic of asking questions revolving around "noahs flood" to try to start my wife doing some serious thinking.
unlike doctrine that cannot often be proven one way or another, this issue can be proven beyond the slightest doubt that it is impossible.. i was thinking about asking a question something like this "i was reading about coral reefs today, and they sure are amazing!
what amazed me the most is how long it takes for them to build the reef, and how long they live!

No truly educated person will believe that mankind has been around for only 6000 years.
Most witnesses will discard any evidence that contradicts what the GB says. They feel they are being used by Jehovah and will throw away evidence and bury their doubts.
It's worth giving a try with your wife, put some doubts in her mind and see where it goes. Good luck to you.

JW morale reaching new low
by kneehighmiah inmany friends i've spoken with are becoming discouraged.
because of this it's becoming tempting to privately share my views with friends, but i know this is still too dangerous.
most witnesses in my circle are intelligent free thinkers.

Most witnesses will not be shaken by any changes in the watchtower. Not enough humility to acknoledge that the GB is wrong and wasted decades of their lives with meetings and knocking on doors
and telling others that they are the only ones with the true religion.

DENY DENY DENY!
by Terry inhow will the watch tower society move forward in this technological age where proof abounds of all the lies, flip-flops,.
false prophecy, scandals and feckless theology which can be placed right before the eyes of everyone?.
watch this video and apply the same principle:.

Sad to say the 99% of JW's will buy into their denial. They will protect, defend and stick up for the GB lies. Don't forget Prov. 4 :18 "NEW LIGHT", it works all the time.

Letter I wrote to the person the caused me to be disfellowshipped
by jwfacts ina thread on another forum reminded me of a letter i wrote to the person that went to the elders and started the proceedings to have me disfellowshipped.
i stopped believing in the religion when i was 25 but continued going for about ten years.
i finally started to fade at 35, but about 6 months after i had stopped going to meetings, a person wrote a letter to the elders about my website, which at the time was anonymous.

Most of us were in for decades and it's been good pulling away from the Watchtower.
If you are experiencing depression you are no good to them. They will only put up with it for a while and then they will avoid you since they do not have the skills to deal with your problem.
STOP GOING TO THE MEETINGS, get some help and enjoy life
