Good for you.
If you were still a witness it could not have happened.

i want to tell everyone what a joy it was to meet dantheman over the weekend.. i have never felt more comfortable with who i am.
there certainly is an unspoken understanding amongst people that have come away from the jw experiance.
in particular i think we find it difficult to be mean and judgemental to each other.. an unconditional love that we all crave.
Are you from Franklin TN or ,winchester or manchester or columbia or pulaski
this one ranged all over the place.
i post these because i am hoping someone can give me additional advice.
wife: why didn't you want to read the daily text to the kids?
Just to put my 2 cents in.
I'm going thru the same as under-beleiver, 3 months ago i started talking to my wife about the Watchtower and some of the doctrines that i beleived for 30 years and once i got the label as apostate there is no turning back.
Went before the elders, (still going on with meetings with them) but my wife is filing for divorce because she does not want to live with an apostate and her faith is in danger and does not want to lose her everlasting life.
Cannot say a word to her anymore about anything concerning the Watchtower that she walks away.
26 years down the drain.
every wife is definetely different and i'm happy for those that thru patience were able to help them see the light.
But for you under-beleiver if you want to help her try to bite your tongue and be loving and sweet and try more than anything to reason with her when you see stupidity on the part of the watchtower teachings.
lets say a father has an adult child that wrote a da letter.
they are not living under the same roof anymore, so, working with the wt's teachings the father don't speak to the daed person.
but he still continues to see the child regularly, going to the movies, eating at restaurants and sitting besides each other at family barbecues and gatterings.
Page 103 of Elder book says a relative would not be DF just for associating with a relative as long as he does not talk about spiritual things.
Of course at all depends on the elders, if they want to nail you they will, it's them as a body against a publisher with no power.
i suppose i should have labeled this as questions.
is it ever hard?
are you ever at odds with your spouse?
save yourself a lot pain and headaches.
The fact that she is considering to marry you, she is going against "marry in the Lord" counsel but keep in mind if your marriage is ever on the rocks she can easily justify separation or divorce since you are not a witness. she might feel she is carrying dead weight around.
can you handle the fact she goes to 5 meetings a week, study for the meetings,go out knocking on doors and much more.
You better think twice before you take such a heavy step
i really feel sorry for my wife sometimes.
her parents are "true believers" and she really wants to please them, and of course live forever with them in paradise.
but sometimes i think the combination of having a job, and going to the meetings and out in service is killing her.
My wife does the same thing. Since you are not going to meetings, she might view you as an apostate so what she is trying to do is keep herself busy so that she stays strong in the faith,
My wife is pioneering this month and working at a secular job and seeing a lawyer since she will not live with someone who used to be an elder and now spiritually weak.
Most likely the elders gave them wisdom on how to go about in dealing with the situation
hang in there
i have a female friend who i've been discussing the religion with.
she definitely has doubts about the org but isn't sure on leaving just yet as she has still got about 6 months to go being a minor dependent on the parents.
lately, she's been getting heavy pressure to start pioneering.
Just tell them you are giving it a lot of consideration to it but you are not ready yet, very simple and it will make them happy that at least you are thinking about it and they will leave you alone for a while.
Just use the same line over and over again until they will be embarrassed to ask you again
the po got up there for the local need,
zecharia says that jehovah is going to destroy all the nations of the earth,( scripture was talking about jerusalem) are you going to be one of those destroyed?
if you are missing meetings, you are not being influenced by god's spirit, there is another spirit that is influincing you, that of satan
you are right undercover,
Last night easily 40% of pubs. were not there.
For many years as an elder that was the dilemma of local needs, the ones that need it are never there.

(Heb. 10 talks about not forsaking the gathering of yourselves together, no place does it say You have to be at 5 meetings)
(so if you have to feed your family and sometimes have to miss a meeting, SATAN has control over you) this point made me sick,i almost approached him after the meeting and confronted him with that statement.
If you are not spending 9.2 hrs in service,(Average in congr.) who is controlling your life? Jah spirit or Satan ( again guilt is the motivation for serving Jah)
A lot more crap of do more or you will be destroyed by Jah- work- work- work- and nothing about faith and gift of salvation
A bet most of the freinds went home not very encouraged
greg stafford posted on july 1, 2006 that he is returning to the organization.
you can read his article at: http://www.elihubooks.com/greg-stafford/another.htm.
his rationale and logic are most interesting.
I would like to know how in the world if he saw " bad " in the Organization and wrote about it and not get DFd
He would get DFd on the spot. unless the GB made special provisions for him, excpecially if he says nice things about them.
