  NEED ADVICE ON FAKING A REINSTATEMENT

  a friend of mine who is df'd is seriously considering trying to get reinstated in order to have his family back in his life.

  this is not an easy decision because he's fully aware that this isn't "the truth", but the pain of being excluded from normal family relations is really tearing him.

  he has two choices: either move away from his family and try and start a new life, or bite the bullet, try and get reinstated and then do the fade.

  This is the only physical life we have, when we pass away who truly knows what we'll find. i still beleive we go back to dust and that's it.

  He loves his family and they want him back one way or another, so my point is, do what you have to do to gain your family back, get reinstated one way or another

  fake it, lie, and get back and regain your family,

  The society lies, fakes it and they will do anything to keep their rulership over the JW's lives even though down deep i truly beleive those on top such as the GB that claims that they are being used by God, they know it's a lot a crap.

  my husband and i left the organization about a year and a half ago.

  we have not been disfellowshipped, nor have we disassociated ourselves.

  I would go

  Don't fall into the trap or say anything against the watchtower or its teachings or your findings.

  If they ask anything remind them you do not want to talk about it and if they have any particular question they can find the answer on the internet.

  Remember,if they are working for the elders. anything you say negative against the organization it's almost automatic df since you got 2 witnesses testifying against you

  How does an elder get the job of baptizing new ones?

  Those in charge of organizing the baptism making sure everything runs smooth can ask anyone in good standing but it seems it's always the elders or ms.

  Will You React With Prejudice?

  will you react with prejudice when faced with "absolute truth?

  sometimes, an irrefutable "truth" can be spoken.

  and yet, this statement or fact of "truth" can be glossed over or dismissed or not recognized by the community at large, because of preconceived ideas taught us and engrained in us, from our previous upbringing or training.

  i brought up the subject of the un today when the elders came to see me.

  they knew nothing about it as a matter of fact neither do i. phil told me that it was all a fabricated lie by the apostates.

  what proof is there that i can show them that it was initiated by the gb in ny?.

  Die hard witness will continue to make excuses.

  I brought it up to my wife,she did not beleive me, she asked her father about it who is an elder and he knew about it but he gave her the library story and excused the Watchtower.

  Same with my brother in law, he said sometimes the Society has to do certain things to accomplish what they need.

  There, the society or the godlike GB can do no wrong

  Were you the only JW in your family?

  sometimes i think of all the pain i caused my parents when i left their home to pursue my bible studies.

  it happend right around the holidays and my father's birthday, and seemed to be such a slap in the face to him.

  he almost didn't come to my wedding, to walk me down the aisle, since i would not attend family functions around holidays and birthdays (he did walk me down the aisle; after i made some appearances but made it clear i was not celebrating).. now that i am out, i am so glad i have been able to repair my relationships with my parents and siblings.

  I was the only one that accepted the "truth" but my worldly family nevere rejected me for being another religion, always there for me in showing love.

  My wife's family that were all in truth, large family of 30-40 of them, they hardly ever talk to each other because they all view the truth different and they all become overly rightous and not have anything to do with one another.

  Question for Ex Elders... Field Service

  behind the scenes, how did the elder body view field service.

  were they enthusiastic about it, viewed it as necessary to maintain their position or just indifferent about it.

  in my 28 years inside i know of only one elder that had the pioneer spirit and actually pioneered when he retired.

  Most of the elders wasted a lot time in service with the excpetions of few.

  Pioneers were mostly sincere in trying to talk and reach the people.

  When the watchtower joined for 10 years they did just that and would have continued if not caught with their pants down.

  people on this board have been been saying how they would never go door-to-door informing the public about their new jw views.

  one reason, it has been said, is that jws would still be having an affect on them.

  they don't want to spend their saturday mornings discussing the religion.
