by BU2B init just came out yesterday that the nsa has spied on the vatican and pope francis.
when i went over my parents house yesterday, you could see the excitement, the energy in their eyes when they talked about it.
my dad even pumped his fist like he won something when he was talking about it.

"To them this is yet ANOTHER sign that the destruction of "false religion" is oh so close, and how the end must be almost here."
For those of us that spent decades in the WT this is nothing new....almost anything that we saw in the news about religion, government and economic system was another sign
that the end is " SO CLOSE ".
Millions of witnesses gotten old and never saw the the fulfillment of the watchtower promise of a new earth.

How to prove God does not exist?
by UBM101 inmany times (almost all the time) atheists asking for proof of god's existence from those who believe that god exists.
perhaps at times they should prove he doesn't exist.
any taker?

The believer will say look at the creation...it had to come from somewhere but then the simple question
How did God come to be....just saying he was there from the beginning is not enough to satisfy me.
Don't want to believe in him because a loving father would take care of his children....Don't blame Satan please, a loving father would have kicked his ass long ago.

Many had no choice, they were born into the religion but i came in at 22 and stayed for 32 years.
Don't know how in the hell it happened when in the back of my mind i had doubts all along about the stupidity and dangerous doctrines
of the watchtower.

Goodbye JWD/JWN (my last post)
by slimboyfat inafter some considerable thought i have decided that i will no longer post on this forum because i want to return to jehovah.
thank you for all the kindness and many interesting discussions over the years.
i wish you all well in the future and the decisions you make.

You will be back....you have way too much knowledge of what the watchtower and GB is all about.
You will be going nuts sitting at meetings and trying to talk to people about the "only true religion"
Anyway, good luck to you and hope you make it work "in the truth"

JWs and pessimism
by elisaporquien inthere are people who are pessimistic, optimistic, cynical or whatever.
i've noticed that ever since my sister became a jw she's become very pessimistic about life now (present time).
i love and care about her but her pessimism sometimes brings me down (emotionally).

They don't have a choice but to be pessimistic...they are trained and taught by the GB to speak negatively about life and how nasty the people are.
Don't forget their main purpose is talk how bad the world is and how the kingdom of god will fix it all.
Try asking any JW if they preferred to live at any other time in man's history.... they won't give you an answer because they know they enjoy
the present time.......best time in man's history.

Let's make a list of the families ruined by the Watchtower
by Faithful Witness inthe jehovah's witnesses came to our door, claiming to hold the secrets of family happiness.
they told me they had the "one true religion," and had come to save my life.
i was a bible student for quite awhile, along with my husband.

My wife left after 26 years of marriage due to "apostasy" on my part.
She will not talk to my other two daughters because they left the religion.
Oldest daughter still in but don't know where she's at, she has not communicated with the family since 2009.
That's what the watchtower does to family.

You can finally stop beleiving things that don't make any sense such as most of the doctrines of the watchtower.
As long as you are in and have doubts you have to keep your mouth shut for fear of DF, cannot talk to your mate or your best friend, they will turn you in...what kind of life is that?
Life outside is sweet and finally free.

Has the organization changed their policy toward inactive ones?
by TweetieBird infor the past few years, family members and long time friends have pretty much ignored us because we don't go to meetings.
recently, my sister (a regular pioneer) asked me to friend her on facebook, my mother-in-law (a regular pioneer) actually visited us and stayed in our home and another friend that i haven't heard from in years just asked me to friend her on facebook.
just curious..

My ex approched my two inactive daughters and told them she would stop associating with them...they are under satan's control according to her.
She made the decision right after attending a circuit assembly.
The reason given was that was the only way she could receive blessing from Jehovah.
She was born in the organization, she's 53 and so far has not seen too many blessings....she's going to give another try.
