Why not tell him the truth. You want them in order to validate what the wt has told you vs. what you know to be true?

Watchtower Chess....My move
by Black Sheep ini asked my sil if he can help me to get copies of july 1 through to sept 1 watchtowers.
he knows that i am disillusioned with the wt and that i am born in, but never been baptised and he doesn't shun me.. here is his reply.. "yes i can help, but it would depend on why you wanted them and what you wanted to accomplish by reading those issues, :-).
i have had a few ideas on how to reply, but i would like to hear your comments before i reply.. .

by DannyHaszard inthis will be danny haszard's boston big dig thread as things develop.. why,because i worked most of my adult life as a heavy construction union concrete form carpenter in the city of boston.i made a lot of money as a skilled craftsman at high wages,and i derived a lot of pleasure from my work.. i also gave a lot of my earnings directly to the watchtower's world wide fund.. i worked for many different contractors out of the union hiring hall,i worked for the modern continental construction company who had the largest share of contracts for the big dig project.. know this-to quote a co-worker,"i hate working for modern continental because they are infested with jehovah's witnesses who give me shit whenever i swear or talk dirty ".

Special Event Assembly?

yesterday, i get a letter in the mail, looks like a business letter/ i open it up and its an invitation from the jw to attend a "special event" at their upcoming assembly here in rochester.
sounds like they are having an event for non-members now.

I remember saying and hearing the same thing in summer 1975. The watchliar society has been dooms-day-ing for a long time. The more paniced the membership becomes, the more money finds it's way into the contribution boxes. It is all about the bottom line. They are suffering financially (not by our standards, but certainly by theirs), and they need another crisis to kick-start the income.
Thanks to all of us apostates, and the fact that we can instantly share information, they are hurting financially.

Looking for sources as to number who left JWs from 1975 to 1980
by cabasilas ini'm looking for sources as to the number of jws who left the organization from 1975 to 1980. i realize that the information can be extrapolated from the published statistics but i'd particularly like to find a citable source that gives the information, especially from the news media.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
