Of the 5 cars I've owned since I started driving 3 were manual.
It is getting harder to find some cars in a manual transmission. When my 2000 Nissan Altima (Manual Trans.) was totaled earlier this year my friend the car dealer had a heluva time finding a 2002-2004 honda civic that was manual. 95% of the civics that were at the auctions were automatics. He finally did get one for me and I love it.
Not only does a manual trans offer more control in inclement weather it can also improve your gas mileage by 5% if you drive it correctly (Thats big when you commute from PA to NY everyday.) Anyway the only time i miss an automatic is when I'm stop and go on the cross bronx EVERYDAY!!

Do you rather an automatic or manual transmission?
by JH in.
my first cars were all "manual" and they were small cars, cheap on gas.. then later on in life, i spoiled myself and bought automatic cars.. last week, i tried a manual yaris, and wasn't that comfortable with the manual transmission.
maybe it's the fact that i didn't drive a manual car in 6 years.. just wondering if anyone here after driving automatic transmission cars since many years, if you would come back to manual..

The 'issue' of masturbation. (not a rude thread lol)
by KW13 inforgive me for being nieve here... .
the watchtowers reasons for masturbation are wrong?
they say that god punished some guy cos his sperm was wasted..not entirely true but lets run with that for a second.

If masturbation wasn't intended for God creations why does my dog lick herself? The whole stance on Masturbation is so out there I can't even comprehend it. Has anyone here seen any recent stances taken on Masturbation by the WTS ie publications, talks.

COLLEGE!
by RichieRich inoh, so in the midst of everything else, college is goin well.. about 30 % of my high school graduating class came here, so its really just like high school part2.
i have 2 morning classes, and 2 night classes, so that way the majority of my schooling gets done on 2 days of the week instead of 4. last night was my first night in my english 111 class.
i already knew thaqt there was one witness in there, but its someone who i've kept up with, and someone who is cool with me, as i am.

Sounds like a great professor. Hes giving her a lesson in life, and I agree with everyone else about treating her exactly as you would another student in the class. The only thing is, to not be less friendly than you are with everyone else in the group. I've worked places with JDubs after I was dissed and made a conciense effort to involve them in conversation just as I did with everyone else that worked there. Good Luck

Fluff a dub: Brushes with Fame?
by Crumpet inso who have you met who is famous or slightly famous and under what circumstances?

I went to Penn State for 4 years and I met two huge celebrities and some other minor ones which I won't mention.
I was Allen Iverson's waiter twice because the 76ers use Penn State as their training camp. (He tips well)
I also met the greatest college football coach of all time which was a huge deal.
Both celebs were pretty nice. -

A bit reluctant
by saki2fifty ini'm a bit reluctant in writing this post, for i dont feel i should be here.
even a bit nervous... .
i've never officially dedicated myself to jehovah, but i was brought up in the truth, very strong, and at times when getting older, there were lulls in my attendance... yet to this day i still attend.

I agree that everyone is here for different reasons. We all have at least one thing in common. We have questions we want answers to. Whether its Doctrinal, or personal we are looking to others for support. You will find support here.

Someone posted the link to a site that had the District convention available to listen too. Does anybody have that?
