  when i got off for lunch today i decided to go to the walmart deli and get something to eat.

  it is a huge store, groceries, a bakery, mc donalds, a bank , eye center, beauty shop, a great deli, and a huge garden center.

  i had taken back a 80 gig hard drive dvd recorder ( i couldn't figure out how to hook up <smile> and had received 238.00. i picked up a couple of things in the store then went to the deli.

  Wow, as a newbie i'm not sure I want to jump into this pool, oh well....

  My girlfriend disagrees, but I don't think anyone has hurt Annie's feelings, and I love the comments that have been made on this thread. It's just discussing a subject,......geez. Ok, some people believe in Jehovah and some don't. Did it ever occur to anybody that the people who believe in a "jehovah god" got their panties in a knot because of the funny names like "jehoover", "jehovie", etc.?

  I don't believe in him anymore, but that's just me. I'm just glad to be able to believe whatever I want these days .

  Annie, i'm glad you got your purse back but I think you were just lucky this time! Is it ok if I say "lucky"?!

  NEW INK!!!

  so, i went to my friendly neighborhood tattoo parlor today, and recieved my second and third (or 19th and 20th - depending on how you look at it) tattoo.

  the chest is an extremely sensitive area, and so i was very aware that i was alive for the majority of the time.. oh, birds are often seen as a symbol of freedom, happiness, and arriving safely.

  i had to go home over the weekend to pick up more furniture and such.

  im moving into an apartment finally in lafayette.

  anywho, i had 3 run ins with johos over the weekend and they were all pleasant.

  Good for you IP! I got shunned at the market about a hour ago from some former dub friends. I see witnesses I know all the time, I even work around a couple elders! Some will say a little hello if other people are around (so they won't look stupid just ignoring someone who said "hi John!") .....most dubs act like they wouldn't spit on me if my hair was on fire...........

  Can You be announced DF w/Out a JC Meeting?

  my parents just got a phone call from a longtime inactive witness who heard from his very active witness wife that they were announced df'd.

  we don't know if its it true or not becuase none of us go to meetings anymore and have no inside sources at the hall to tell us (as we are apostates, who would tlak to us????

  ) the elders have tried a couple times to talk to them but my dad avoids them.

  Sure they can, and they do it all the time!

  When I left, I tried to fade, but after a few months I was told they had an investigation going, and they wanted to meet with me because they had found (not true) reasons for disfellowshipping....

  I told them, "I won't be there tomarrow night, my grandmother's funeral is tomarrow afternoon". It didn't matter, they told me that if I don't attend they would DF me. So, I walked in the hall and handed them a letter DA'ing myself. I know how those meetings work. I was really emotionally "spent" and really didn't care anymore.

  If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't be so easy on them.........GYMBB

  a few days ago my wife commented on a letter sent out to all congregations (in the u.s.a.?

  ) regarding donations.

  se said it was long and boaring, but in the end there where a few points she remembered.

  It seems that a few years back, the WTB&TS was bragging about how they never had to (and never would) ask for money, now, I don't get it....how is it that a group of people who claim that the creator of the universe directs what they do (WOW!)...... need to ASK FOR MONEY?? GYMBB

  A heartfelt warning to parents

  yesterday, at 5 in the afternoon, my 17 year old son was swarmed and beaten by a gang of 6 young males.

  in broad daylight, on the busiest corner of the city, in front of his horrified girlfriend and about 300 passers-by.

  he is in the hospital with head injuries.

  Sorry man,......but thank you for posting what happened so others can take caution.

  Here in California we see alot of gang activity (red/blue s**t), it sucks! But just wait for the paradise!! (sorry, I couldn't help it!).

  We were told what the world was like before we left..... most of it was wrong, but some of it was true...there are some great people out there, but there are also some bad people out there too.

  "I'm alive because of a blood transfusion", GREAT!!

  How about, "i'm alive because of a blood transfusion, i'd do it again if I had to....will you still study with me and can I still get baptized in your church?" There is just no way they can answer that!

  I understand why some wouldn't want to be identified. Personally, I don't care who recognizes me, and I enjoy my freedom. I guess i'm in the "piss on bethel group".

  i auxilary pioneered for a year, then i regular pioneered for 2 years while serving as a ministerial servant.

  then i served at bethel for 3 years.

  while at bethel i worked harder then i have my hole life.

  It's not "on the front page of every newspaper" because IT ISN'T NEWS, everybody already knows it except JW's.

  You SHOULD be concerned about your typing skills, maybe that's why you presently don't have work.
