Wife finally sees truth about "the truth"
by jakes inwell it has finally happened.my wife is not going back to the meetings again.as you would probably read in my previous posts, i have written a book about my experience in the watchtower organisation which is on the verge of being published.she still tried to cling to what little belief she had in the borg and did not want to read my manuscript.we discussed many of the issues and concerns i had about the watchtower but most of the times it ended in a heated argument.. i was quite surprised when she approached me about two weeks ago and asked to read my manuscript.after reading it she handed it back to me and said she fully supports me in publishing this book.her eyes have been opened to the deception and lies.i think she and a friend had a bad experience calling on one of her so-called jw friends.furthermore, she did not attend this past weekends circuit assembly..
hooray!!!.
all i have to do now is to introduce her to all you wonderful people here on jwd.. jakes.

JWs - Weaklings who despise power?
by jakes injws are not much inclined towards spirituality.their beliefs should be classed under the heading dogma.however, from the outside looking in,their distinguishing feature is not their dogma but their intense hatred of the world.for more than a century they have done nothing but groan upon it and have done very little for the plight of mankind in general.their leadership continues to exhort their followers to 'put on the complete suit of armour'.soon christ with his heavenly legions will destroy the governments, clergy, higher learning institutions and the churches.. hate seems to be foremost in their passion to see this world end.. do you think that jws are weaklings who despise the powerful because they lust after power themselves?
( matthew's 'faithfull and discreet slave' seems to be very much exalted in the jws ).

Network Business vs Watchtower Business
by jakes init just occured to me that the watchtower is run similar to a pyramid networking type business.what i am talking about is the type of business where members are recruited to distribute or sell the company's exclusive products only available from members, and not from normal retail chain stores.. in most of these network type business schemes the members stand to make at least a bit of money.however, in the watchtower's case, the members(r&f, congregations) do not.
the watchtower takes all the spoils.. would you say it is a fair comparison?.

Frederick Franz's Words
by jakes inaddressing a large audience in 1976,president franz asked, ' do you know why nothing happened in 1975?
it was because you expected something to happen.'.
i would have stood up walked right out if i was present.. jakes.

Good Read.Living At The End Of The World.
by jakes inhas anybody read this book by marina benjamin-living at the end of the world?.
it uncovers the characters and beliefs of a world overshadowed by end time prophecies and millenial visions.in it she takes a look at the tragedies of waco, heaven's gate and other suicide cults.the mormons and jws are also analysed very accurately.i think it is a very good book to get jws to read as it is not written by an "apostate".. .

Been gone awhile.(Rough past few three months)
by jakes ini have'nt been here for awhile.the family and i went through a very rough time over the past three months.most of it has been jw related and how negatively the teachings have affected a brother of my wife who has been diagnosed with bipolar.however, that i will leave for a different discussion.we have managed to pull through it all and we are slowly picking up the pieces.
i am also hard at work putting the final touches to my book.i will keep you posted on the release date.
this past weekend i stepped into a kingdom hall after more than two years.i attended a jw funeral of a friend who was not a jw.his family are all jws and i was actually surprised that permission was given to them to have it conducted in the kingdom hall.halfway through the talk i got up and walked out of the hall.i could not bare to listen to the pathetic reasoning laid out by the elder during his talk.hardly any comfort was given to the family in the talk.as one other poster mentioned,it all become just one big jw presentation and "sales talk".this was probably done because of the many non-jws that were in attendance.

Watchtower July 15 2005 edition
by jakes inlast nite i picked up an old watchtower mag just to have a browse through it.the watchtower is entitled: true teachings, where can you find them?
(july 15,2005).the article on page 4 caught my eye.this is what it says in the first two paragraphs:.
"for earth's inhabitants to know what teaching are true and pleasing to god,he must reveal his thoughts to humans.he must also make that revelation available to all.how else could mankind know what god approves of in the way of doctrine, worship, and conduct?has god supplied such information?if so,in what form?.
