a group of concerned parents in and around durban, south africa have set up a website http://ctmiconcernedparents.com with stories of their children who have become involved with a church identified as grace gospel church.

the church is a branch of church team ministries international (ctmi), an international christian group with head offices in mauritius.

young people from upmarket durban suburbs are being recruited into the group which many parents call a mind controlling christian cult.

we travelled to our hometown to celebrate my parents' 40th wedding anniversary.

however, the treatment we experienced from my in-laws was totally appalling.

it seems as if the courts in south africa are taking a hard line stance on children of jehovahs witnesses and blood transfusions.

the refusal by jehovahs witnesses to accept life-saving blood transfusions is one issue that constantly throws the organisation into the spotlight.

blood transfusions have been banned by the jehovahs witnesses, whether it be whole or fractional, since 1945. the technicalities surrounding this issue even confuse many die-hard witnesses as this doctrine is in a constant state of flux.

many are not sure what is acceptable practice and what not.. .

it is well documented by now that not one secular source supports the date given by the watchtower for the fall of jerusalem.

in the field of archaeology much work has been done since the 1800s when this date was first coined.

during winter school holidays here in south africa,my wife and i decided to travel down to our hometown.

to confront our parents about the jw issue.we felt we needed to clear the air and let them know what our .

standpoint regarding the jws are,and why we will not be raising their grandchildren in the org.. once and for all we needed to get this behind us.we needed to tell them about my book and felt it would.
