February 2010 Study Watchtower - Millions Now Living 'May' Never Die
by Marni Mai injust noticed that in the february 2010 study edition of the watchtower, they refer to the "millions now living will never die" talk in 1918, but they have changed the title to "millions now living may never die".
only problem, they included the picture of the invitation to the talk, which says 'will'.. ooops.
it's on page 16. enjoy.. .

$.75? What a haul! You know, if he stopped trying to pass out literature to empty doors in the morning and got a job, he wouldn't have to resort to these actions...especially since he apparently couldn't find the $60!

NEW LIGHT in the Darkness of Space !
by KnowlegeSeeker_UK ini was staying with relatives for the holidays this weekend.
i chose to walk away after years of 'worship' including pioneering and being a bethelite.
(see old post) anyway i was reading the societies website where i stumbled on new light that no one else has picked up on or read.

"While we have strong religious convictions, we are not fundamentalists in the sense that the term has come to be used. We do not believe that every passage in the Bible is to be interpreted literally."
And neither do fundies. They feel that some passages are symbolic, just like the JWs.
However, fundies do believe in the deity of Jesus, and some other points which the JWs do not subscribe to.

It actually seems like that is their "placeholder" for all online media, rather than a scan of the actual picture that would have appeared there. The caption is obviously describing something completely different.
That seemed fishy to me, too. The TM on the picture didn't make it seem legit.
For some reason my folks put some Watchtowers on my bed, but I through them away. I don't know if the March 15th was in there, so I can't upload a pic to show what's really on there.
But that begs the question: why couldn't they put a picture of whatever it was in the .pdf?

Pre-busted
by Heartbreaker ini mean, i can only imagine that's what i am.
i read a post here on my phone, and wish could remember who it was, to give credit, but i can not.
it was about the slow fade or some such, and the merits to just getting out, or doing it slowly.

"New Order", "New World Order" systematically removed from WTS
by EndofMysteries inhas anyone else caught on to this?
i remember as a kid, 80's, it was called the "new system", then late 80's, early 90's, changed to new world order.
it's interesting that governments, conspiracy theories, news, etc, are all calling the one world government, the new world order.

They sent out Splaine to one of the circuit assemblies in my area to personally chastise everyone for using the old lingo "New Order." "System of things" is still used, no matter how clumsy it sounds.

Does Watchtower Participate in Interfaith Movements?
by cameo-d inquote:.
"... parliament of the world's religions brings together religious and civic leaders from dozens of countries.
the fifth such parliament convened in december in melbourne, australia, and brought together 10,000 "people of faith, spirit and goodwill" from 220 different faiths and 80 countries.

Interfaith movements in that strict sense, no, but as dutifully pointed out by others, they have no qualms about allying with other religions when their income's on the line.
