"Youth book" said 97% of teenagers Masturbate...but none of them are Witnesses! Is this unrealistic?
by Witness 007 in"youth" book and "young people ask" admitts that 97% boys and 92% of girls masturbate but of course none of the holy decent witness teenagers would ever do such a thing and earn jehovahs anger!
how realistic is this?
97% of the world have t.v's or a telephone!

SirNose586
I remember being asked, before I was appointed MS, if there were any secret sins to confess. They asked me "if I had a problem with masturbation."
I honestly answered, "No."
I never had a problem with it; I just did it and went about my day!

Elder uses Congregation Bible Study as an opportunity to ban the movie Avatar
by easyreader1970 inlast night, during the congregation bible study, the conductor (overseer?
) used this as a platform to say that the movie avatar is of satan and no christians should see it.. .
he said that he googled the (original) meaning of the word avatar and it was of hindu religious origin.
-
SirNose586
You can argue about the point of seeing Avatar based entirely on the predictable plot and stereotypical characters. This movie has nothing to do with Hinduism.

do you know someone who is disfellowshipped or not active who still talks of "truth" and is still judgemental ?
by looloo ini have only known one , who talked more about the "wicked system" and satan and how immoral worldlys are etc than the jws i knew who were still "in" and he ended up abusing my daughter !
still never gone back 14 years after being disfellowshipped , some local dubs take that to mean jehovah didnt want him back till his abusive past (as a jw ) had been found out !
do you know someone very hypocritical ?.

Reminds me of my former P.O. who spoke of his df'd brother who feels he "can't live up to Jehoober's righteous standards" and is therefore still out.
Makes me wanna vomit!

Wish someone could look up the rate of increase before 1975 - THAT would be a telling comparison...
Sure thing, ziddina: http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/1975.php
There's a chart right as you open the page which should help you out.

Blood Transfusion? Yes Please
by finallysomepride inon monday night i ended in hospital with kidney stones (5th time) this ones plagued me for the last 2-3 years.. i recieved all the necessary pain killers to settle things down, so i was comfotable most of tuesday.
tuesday night the specialists came to see me, & they asked about me being a jw and would i still refuse a blood transfusion.. immediatley i said no to being a jw & yes to a blood transfusion, i had been wonderng for sometime what would be my awnser be, & how quick i would responde to these questions, so now i know.. by the way there was alot relief on the faces of the specialist when i answered this way.. they have only so far put a stent in to relieve the pressure from the stone blocking the kidney, further treatment to come but could be some months away.. so anyway i'm still in hospital, thank god for netbooks & wireless broadband, i go home 2moro.. just thought i would share what i've been through these last couple of days, & to say i really am feeling like i'm now free of the borg.. kevin.

Kidney stones...ouch! I hope I never get them. But at least you've not tied the hands of your doctors. It's good to not have that problem anymore, I agree.

Clickable link.
I really wonder how this one slipped through the cracks...it's a publishing corporation run by lawyers. How could they be so careless as to let this happen?

How come people with the least means of supporting themselves ''Pioneer'' ?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inmy cousin told me last week that for the month of february she was ''pioneering''.
here is a person who was divorced 2 years ago and had to move in with her mom because she can't afford to live on her own .she only works 4 days a week.
she pays $600 every 2 months for health insurance because she is self-employed.

SirNose586
I guess when nothing's going for you, you've got to throw yourself into something; pioneering seems to be that something.
