  September KM - 70 alterations in Revelation Climax Book

  i can't find a thread on this subject yet - if there is one , please delete this one.. the september kingdom ministry has a 4 page insert detailing the 70 alterations in the revelation climax book which is due to be studied at the book study shortly.

  i'll provide scans if anyone is interested.. i will leave it up to more experienced analysts to examine the reasons for specific changes , but just a few brief observations for now:.

  p32 box - "they were completely exonerated" changed to "charges against them were dropped" - interesting change of terminology for the 1918 watchtower eight.

  his charles manson-esque beard doesn't seem to help, either.. mel may be a powerful guy, but something tells me there'll be a price to pay for his anti-semitic remarks, even if they were made in a sauced-up state.

  i will try to make a long story short.

  me and my wife (faithful jw) had a problem with an evil pioneer sister elder's wife in our former hall.

  through the course of trying to work it out we decided we would be better off in another hall.

  While Joseph was 17 when he was sold as a slave, how does she know he was still 17 when he was in Potiphar’s household? Some time could have passed. BTW, the laws of today regarding the age of minors did not apply back then.

  Evidently, he wasn’t considered a minor, even the WTS says:

  Apparently because of good parental training, Jacob’s son Joseph was capable of oversight at a young age.

  Exactly! Right when she said that I thought, "Wow, how could she apply an American law to an ancient Egyp--"

  I had to stop myself right there. There's no logic involved in what she just said. It was just a strange comment from a mis-informed sister. I really wanted to go back there and point out the error of her ways, maybe talk about age of consent in other countries. But then I thought, "Don't waste your time. She doesn't know what she's talking about, and there's no point in trying to correct someone's ignorance on historical facts because GOD FORBID you try and share some education with other people. Don't want to stumble anyone, right?"

  Correcting ignorance is a two-way street. I appreciate being corrected. True, it makes you feel embarrassed, but in the end, you don't have to sound like an idiot the next time you spout some facts. It just really bugs me to see ignorant comments praised, while when I bring up something beyond the paragraph--something involving research outside of a publication--no one gives a crap.

  Same here, juni. I dig Mel's movies as much as the next guy, like Braveheart, the Mad Max trilogy, and Conspiracy Theory. He needs to do some community work for Jews and women's groups too...

  I'm sorry, "sugar t**s" just makes me giggle.

  Now there's a new Mel Gibson film I'd like to see!

  Some of those comments are pretty hilarious, like people don't believe it really happened. Just because your braveheart hero gets sauced up, doesn't mean it was a big conspiracy.

  it seems that everyone i know who claims to be in the right religion, has the idea that their religion is some how more pure or perfect then all others.

  whether is a christian faith as a whole, or an individual sect of christianity.

  yet, no one seems to be willing to see that their religion, has, does and will do the same.
