so i thought i'd drop by watchtower.org and see what drivel they were passing off these days.. one of the lead articles is "should i get a tattoo?".
And doesn't everyone just ignorantly stare at other peoples' tattoos like these judgemental idiots are doing??

Plus that chick is dumb for getting one on her hand. Though I do give her compliments for not getting the obligatory lower back tattoo or pelvic tattoo.

Ugh. If the world were filled with JWs, technology would regress back to the 16th century. They'd destroy all vestiges of technology that they consider "evil." In the end, they would become as corrupt as the power structures that they had replaced.
Or consider this: without Catholicism or governments to fight against, they'd have no reason to preach their anti-establishment and anti-religion message. This would effectively kill off the "hook" of becoming a dub: that your beliefs are special because you're a target of Satan. If everyone were a JW, the message would be impotent. Their strength comes from the fact that they make up a minority, and that they are surrounded by unbelievers on a daily basis.

As for candidates, I think Russell should be taken off. Had it not been for Rutherford and MacMillan, his movement would've been a historical footnote. Seeing as how Russell's ideas have been mostly discarded in present doctrine, and he is not given much mention aside from the Proclaimers book, I think has had the least influence on modern dubs.
IMO, the greatest villain would be the one whose policies continue to inflict suffering on people, or continue to cost lives. The blood issue and the disfellowshipping practice are the only things that accomplish this.
Arbitrary disfellowshippings are wrong, no doubt. People have committed suicide over it, so it does lead to loss of life. This pales before the blood issue, for which people are still losing their lives. Therefore, C.J. Woodworth and any who helped form the JW blood doctrine are in my eyes, the most villainous.

Gospel just swings! I went to a soul food restaurant on Sunday and there was a gospel DVD playing in the background. That stuff is catchy. I was jamming in my seat but I was chided for getting down to "bad music."
I think the WTS doesn't like Christian or gospel music because it's well written, uplifting, and doesn't emphasize getting your hours up or having slavish devotion to the WTS.

My f in l elder called and said a member of gov. body spoke recently at a German convention and told them all that it was now a case of SECONDS not days or years. Scare tactics methinks to keep them all in and to make inactive ones like myself come running back.

i went to university without any problems in the cong.
two others in my hall went and no one made a public complaint.
i was interviewed age 15 on the platform by my dad (elder) about whether i would pioneer when i left school or not.
The BOEs around here seem to promote vocational school, or community college as opposed to a traditional university. They know you need to learn marketable skills outside of high school to keep your head afloat in San Diego. The BOEs are not so liberal as to allow someone to say "I want to get more education once I graduate from high school" in front of everyone, or in a comment. Whenever there's a young person indoctrination part, just mention Bethel or pioneering and no one will get flustered.
