  pool party

  this weekend i went to a pool party at the house of a girl i know from work.

  there were probably close to 30 people there and i only knew about 4 of them, plus they were all about 3-6 years younger than me and mostly in high school but i had an absolute blast.

  it really was all that i wish high school could have been but wasn't because i was a jw.

  Yeah, I went to a BK dub party where there was bad rap music, booze, and suggestive dancing. Fortunately though, the booze was only for people who knew the hosts, but that wasn't really a problem, as I began seeing a decent amount of red cups filled with it after a bit. There were like 200-250 kids at this bash.

  got this on another board in response to reposting john doe's joke.. buddhist monk walks up to a hot dog wagon, hands the vendor a twenty and says, "make me one with everything.

  vendor sticks the twenty in his pocket and hands the monk a hot dog.

  monk stands there looking at the vendor, waiting.

  Perhaps that was why it took them so long to convert to offset printing to save money back then? When the end was so very near?

  that's what my dad has said at various times over many years.

  i think it helps encourage him that the end must be very near and the paradise will be here soon.

  my thought has always been "oh yes it can get a lot worse.

  Yeah, I'll take the current over the past, any day. I'm not too keen on being a slave, as I would've been 150 years ago in this country....or getting lynched because I looked at a white woman about 100 years ago...or getting attacked for sitting at a "whites only" lunch counter 50 years ago....

  I eyewitnessed Tim getting hustled out by the attendants.

  It was Sunday, and he was dressed in the clothes that the described (khaki shorts, flip-flops). They were hustling him up the stairs with his big cooler in his hands. He leaned over and said to the people in front of me, "They're throwing me out because..." and I couldn't make out the rest. Then they told him to "keep moving" and then he was past me.

  I did end up verifying that it was him being hustled out of there. Not causing trouble as much as I could tell...however I was not there when he blew up at them. In fact, I think I know the kid with the huge stunna shades in the background of that last vid.

  I think Joe knew what he was doing in baiting this guy into blowing up at them, so they could have a pretext for throwing him out. No one's a saint in this tale--especially with that profanity-laden outburst at the end.

  Yup, what a crock of a story. I sincerely hope no one was tricked into more servitude by this poorly written drivel.

  So God = bridge operator and Jesus = 4 year old boy who was too clueless to get out of the way? Not a very good witness for Christianity, I'm afraid...
