i haven't been to meetings for a year and no one else has ever cared, even though i was aux pio'ing at the time i stopped.
he is coming over with his wife one day, he said.

Take Metatrons advice, and also tell them you'll let them know if there is a "spiritual emergency" otherwise they can butt out. And if this guy is new to the area and does not know you, who is he to think he can come over and "grease your head with oil" and make things all better when he doesn't even know you. i have a really difficult problem on my hands and i would very much appreciate some input.. some years ago, my wife and i offered accomodation to a female relative - lets call her auntie molly - who was experiencing some marriage problems.
it was a disaster.
she was irrascible, moody and incredibly badly behaved.

well my friend, after a second attempt to reach out to me and give me the decision last night i received an unexpected visit from two of the local elders.
apparently the two wts agents decided to pass the torch to the local elders this time.
this was organized by the co along with wts instructions.

i did not picked up the phone.
then it rang again and refuse to answer it so i let the answering machine handle it.

I recently just got a call from the bruvvers too. Told them everything is fine here. Don't come over! The real reason they called though, is they again, had nothing better to do. Most of the elders I know have no life, there situation in life is pathetic. They'd be the last ones in life I would fashion myself after as some kind of shinning example many of them think they are.

awhile back, i saw information on another web site about the wtbts's involvement with the swaggart case.
the information was presented in a way that depicted the wtbts as involved with the swaggart case and, therefore, false religion.. at first, i was shocked.
however, i did some research on what an amicus curie is.
And then out in "service"......"And we there is no charge for our/the literature, but we glady except donations. What an oxymoron! It nauseates me.

A brother giving a talk one Sunday suddenly got a case of the "Hershey Squirts" and in the middle of a sentence tells the audience to start singing song number ###. So they do and he hurrys to the mens room. They sing all the verses of the song which nears its end. Suddenly you hear from the mens room......"Sing the 3rd verse again brothers". Finally after that the brother returned to finish his talk.
i posted this onto a previous thread, but wanted to start it on a new one as well.
as jws, we lack the "social outlet" all humans need, to have true friends one can speak openly and honestly with and not be afraid of judgmentalism.
what i've seen firsthand is that the "nucleus" of the congregation often has this need filled: elders, ms's, pioneers, and their families often do things together.

A brother in the audience was trying to surreptiously let him know it was down, Finally the brother giving the talk realizes it's down so he turns around from the audience to put his zipper up and when he turns back to face the audience he had zipped his necktie in his zipper, and couldn't standup straight.
