almost imperceptible over time in some areas.. almost everything i ever believed, i have proven to be false.
almost every bit of my deep seated faith is uprooted by reason.. i am not bitter.
but i am quite reflective these days of how much i have changed.

anyone want to share any new jokes with me .
plus i think it might be a fun thread to read.
ill start:.
There was this elderly couple, Jim and Sue. Jim had a doctor's appointment and his wife joined him in the exam room. After the exam the doctor says that Jim is fine. However, Jim mentions to the doctor that he keeps forgetting things and it is very frustrating to him. The doctor said that it is a part of getting older and as a suggestion the doctor said to write things down.
Well, Jim just thought this was a great idea. He told Sue on the way home that they both should make a habit of writing things down.
The next morning, while still in bed, Sue asked Jim what he would like for breakfast. He said he felt like having a sundae.
Sue: "A sundae?"
Jim: "yes, a chocolate and vanilla sundae"
Sue: "ok" she said as she started to walk out the bedroom.
Jim: "wait, put some whip cream on it.....now, write it down"
Sue: "oh, i can remember, chocolate and vanilla sundae with whip cream"
Jim: "You should write it down! I also want nuts and a cherry on it"
Sue: "I dont need to write it down, i will remember"
10 minutes pass, 15 minutes pass, 20 minutes pass, Now, Jim is concerned. Jim is thinking that Sue forgot all about him because she did not write anything down.
2 minutes later, Sue walks into the bedroom. She has a tray with 2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage, and potatoes and orange juice.
Jim looked at the tray then at Sue and said: " See, i told you to write it down....you forgot the toast!!"
enjoy!

well, let me tell you about my experience in dating a married woman about a year ago or so, i was dating a married woman, she did not tell me that she was married, but i found about it and i told her that i know that she is married, then she decided not to see me.
she is really hot.
well recently, i learned that my recent date is actually married, but she is also really hot, should i keep my mouth shut not telling her that i know that she is married, so i can keep the relationship with her, i would not mind because i really like her..
i think this is a cry for help from asilentone and elsewhere.
they have hot married women throwing themselves at them.
I think us hot single women should help them by throwing ourselves at them.
lets line up girls!
problem solved.
and you are welcome.

Welcome!
Your life story is very interesting and common, sad to say. What is interesting is the timeline of your JW accomplishments parrallel my own. Except, I was a Sister and I never married.
At one point, I too was under so much stress financially, that i needed to quit pioneering. The elders pressured me to stay on, and i was miserable.
I hope that you and your family can make a smooth exit from the organization (if that's possible). And since your children are teenagers, i really hope they are considering college.
Best to you, your wife, and family, and again Welcome!!!

the truth---good and bad points, positives and negatives.. i'll start.. i'm pretty much a positive person.
i generally am a very good judge of character and can usually see easily the positives and negatives of a situation or a person.
i'm a bit impatient when dealing with a person who doesn't listen to facts.
A teacher had us students take this personality test:
http:/www.humanmetrics.com/cji-win/jtypes2.asp
it is the jung typology test humanmetrics
it's a pretty quick test.
it's based on the myers/briggs test.
as for my personality.....dorky.

I laughed ( Berean: " .... and then they leave." i was rolling! ).
I smiled as I read the comments. Lots of good cooks, good people, beautiful people and beautiful smiles.
Reading these compliments makes the world a lot more pleasant place to be.
I hope more will post their compliments.
Oh, Oroborus: If you have at least one other person besides' yourself saying you are sexy....i'll believe it.

mrs jones 5 and BeksBks: Wow, 2 good cooks. Wish i lived near you two.
I have had food poisoning so many times....I am use to it.
My family is fearful when I cook. I have poisoned my dad twice (or 3 times?) in the last 3 years (and i seldom cook).
Being a good cook is awesome, i think it draws people to you to be able to Bake the Bread (cook) and Break the Bread (eat) with others.
John Doe: Geez, you must be perfect
