Lease, After reading what you wrote, I was LOL. I could not believe it. You have a wonderful gift of creative writting. Please, look to the way of pinning down a novel about your experiences as a dub. Please, never underestimate the amount of public interest it can generate :) Thanks Scott, I fear writing. This was actually my first attempt at creative writing. Your post inspired me. Which will make my #100 post special and memorable. I usually write procedure manuals for my employers, which i am very comfortable with. I had taken an English class and the teacher was livid with my writing style....we both almost cried, she was so angry at my writing style and i was hurt by her screaming. i had to ask her to stop screaming. so, thus my fear of writing. however, recently, a teacher told me that he was going to miss reading my essays. my experience as a dub is as easy as clicking on my name: lease. so, tell me.....how would you like the chance meeting for you to end? lease

Iam single and looking. I was seeing one but recently broke off for being deeper into kosher thingy.
Scott walked reluctantly into Lake Alice, a place to hang your hat. It had the adult entertainment: bar, live music, restauraunt area, pool table and top of the line t.v. monitors in the sport section, plus other novelties.
The music was great, the band really knew how to mingle classic rock music with dancing music. There were a few people dancing as Scott slowly made his way to the bar. He ordered a beer and waited for his friend Mike. For some reason, Mike sounded a bit iffy on wanting to meet him at Lake Alice. Then Scott's cell phone rang. Confirmed, Mike is not coming. But, Scott, feeling a bit lonely decided he'd stay a while in hopes that a new lady would walk in that he could, at the very least, chat with.
As Scott turned back around in his chair to order another beer, a woman sat gingerly next to him. His first instinct is to size up the size of her rack. "not bad", he thought. But, he couldn't figure out her race. She seemed either White or Jew or Armenian. Then she spoke, "Can I have a Shirley Temple, please?". Perfect American English with no accent. She might be mixed with something though. Her hair is very dark sprinkled with grey, so she must be in her early 40's. She seems very approachable, but, her hair style is distracting. I never saw a woman with such short hair. "my hair is longer than hers!" i thought.
"Hi" She said to me in such a casual, easy-going, almost innocent way.
"Hey", i replied. I quickly noted; no marriage ring. "are you with someone here?" I am being bold, what the hell to lose, right?
"No, just come here to dance with anyone who is not afraid to look silly". She seems spunky, but maybe too innocent. I order myself another beer.
"and you?" she asked.
"I'm looking to find true love". I said with a smile.
Then she looked at me in a way that made my heart leap for just a split second. It was her smile and that twinkle in her eyes as she said,".....".

I have changed sides
by AK - Jeff inalmost imperceptible over time in some areas.. almost everything i ever believed, i have proven to be false.
almost every bit of my deep seated faith is uprooted by reason.. i am not bitter.
but i am quite reflective these days of how much i have changed.

There was this elderly couple, Jim and Sue. Jim had a doctor's appointment and his wife joined him in the exam room. After the exam the doctor says that Jim is fine. However, Jim mentions to the doctor that he keeps forgetting things and it is very frustrating to him. The doctor said that it is a part of getting older and as a suggestion the doctor said to write things down.
Well, Jim just thought this was a great idea. He told Sue on the way home that they both should make a habit of writing things down.
The next morning, while still in bed, Sue asked Jim what he would like for breakfast. He said he felt like having a sundae.
Sue: "A sundae?"
Jim: "yes, a chocolate and vanilla sundae"
Sue: "ok" she said as she started to walk out the bedroom.
Jim: "wait, put some whip cream on it.....now, write it down"
Sue: "oh, i can remember, chocolate and vanilla sundae with whip cream"
Jim: "You should write it down! I also want nuts and a cherry on it"
Sue: "I dont need to write it down, i will remember"
10 minutes pass, 15 minutes pass, 20 minutes pass, Now, Jim is concerned. Jim is thinking that Sue forgot all about him because she did not write anything down.
2 minutes later, Sue walks into the bedroom. She has a tray with 2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage, and potatoes and orange juice.
Jim looked at the tray then at Sue and said: " See, i told you to write it down....you forgot the toast!!"
enjoy!

by asilentone inwell, let me tell you about my experience in dating a married woman about a year ago or so, i was dating a married woman, she did not tell me that she was married, but i found about it and i told her that i know that she is married, then she decided not to see me.
she is really hot.
well recently, i learned that my recent date is actually married, but she is also really hot, should i keep my mouth shut not telling her that i know that she is married, so i can keep the relationship with her, i would not mind because i really like her..

Welcome!
Your life story is very interesting and common, sad to say. What is interesting is the timeline of your JW accomplishments parrallel my own. Except, I was a Sister and I never married.
At one point, I too was under so much stress financially, that i needed to quit pioneering. The elders pressured me to stay on, and i was miserable.
I hope that you and your family can make a smooth exit from the organization (if that's possible). And since your children are teenagers, i really hope they are considering college.
Best to you, your wife, and family, and again Welcome!!!
