  Wanting something???

  have you ever had this feeling that your body wants something, but you can't figure out what it is?

  i mean like is food, a vitamin, a drink, something?

  i have this feeling a lot.

  Would you bail your JW family out of a financial bind?

  i am so upset with my mother.

  she took a huge mortgage out on her house which was completely paid for.

  her elder husband wanted to expand his business.

  Help mom if it is not a hardship on you but seek legal counsel and set things in place so that this does not happen again. Be a good daughter but don't be taken advantage of. Your mom's husband is the head of her household and therefore the responsibility rests on his shoulders. Other than loosing the house, what else could happen? What is the worst possible scenario? Could they sell the house and buy a smaller one, or rent? Look at all the options before you do anything.

  I need some help with this......

  well it's been almost a year since our move to a new area to begin our *offcial* fade.

  my issue of late has been my 8 year old daughter.

  this is a kid who has been an old soul since birth.

  I would:

  Not bash other witness

  Be honest about why we no longer go to meetings (not to involved, just simple facts).

  Be honest about why the others shun us, but say it's not their fault, they are just doing what they've been taught.

  Have lots of fun family time.

  Allow her to make friends at school and the neighborhood, and encourage her to join clubs, teams, dance lessons (whatever interests her).

  Work hard at keeping the emotional atmosphere in the home calm and stress free.

  Tell her that when she grows up she will be free to join any religion she wants, even JW's, and that you will always be there for her to love and support her.

  Do you need to be popular?

  everyone wants to be liked but how important is popularity to you?

  i can honestly say i've little desire to be popular but i do know i need to feel loved.

  perhaps it's something to do with maturity (not age).

  That last post under my name was my husband. He forgot he was on under my name. He is the introvert in the family. I have always been wildly popular!!! LOL

  I don't need to be popular, or even liked outside my family. I can only claim 1 friend and he lives 10 hours away, so we only see each other about twice a year. But that's fine with me. Since joining this forum I have found a few virtual friends, who knows maybe one day I will be popular!

  Is Jehovah a real dude? (Sort of long)

  i don't post here much but this board has helped me through the process of extracting myself from this religion.

  i thought i should share an experience that i had.. quick background: 4th of 5 generations of jw's leading back to beginning of the century.

  first to leave the religion of all of the relatives and family.

  I think you went on a really bad "trip" plus you exposed yourself to the demons. I also think you need medical help. I have suffered with depression since my early teens and I know there is help. Please seek some reputable advice.

  that is what my mom told me when i got bit by a brown recluse spider.. i was in ohio, visiting my daughter and my mom was there trying to convert me back.

  she even said if i go back, we would get custody of my daughter..... well....i drove myself there from ks and somehow had gotten bitten right before i left.

  it was right between my eyes, and my head started swelling up on the way there.

  What your mon said was cruel and ignorant. Don't believe it for a minute. The Bible even says"time and unforseen occurance befall us all". Quote that to her next time something goes wrong in your life or hers.

  That really was a sweet memory, and I am so glad you had such a lovely childhood. As a mom I worked hard to give my kids plenty of opportunities to experience life and create happy memories. Be happy you have these memories and treasure them, pass them on for others to enjoy, as you did here. Not all of us have them but we can live vicariously through people like you.
