I did not have the time (or the stomach) to read it all, but I got out of it that if you are disfelloshipped, irregular , have long fingernails, wear baggy clothes and earrings(men), or are a college profesor you will die at Armaggedon.

in a discussion with a friend recently he told me that the wts gives reasons behind why the all the different blood parts are acceptable scripturally.
personally i have kept up much with it so i had no arguement.
does the wts give reasons why all these things are acceptable?

No, they really don't give a good reason. They can't. It defies logic.
I assume they hope that by keeping the majority undereducated they won't notice their faulty reasoning. My guess is that this very issue may ultimately be their undoing. It's just too silly to accept.
god forbid you would talk about the person at his funeral............what do most people get after living 70-80 years..........a 5-10 minutes eulogy....................the transition statment is "let me tell you about what fred really believed in".............................45 minutes later.....that way the specker can count his time.. as we know people in the organization are unimportant living or dead.

This issue has bugged me for quite a while. The same applys to wedding talks. Wedding and funeral talks are both manuscripts so there is little room for personalization.
They seem to hate anything being "special", never mind original. Everything must be "by the book".
The recent WT study articles on weddings were a perfect example. Rules and more rules to make every aspect of our lives uniform and routine.
i'd say, beware, once you'll be baptized they won't treat you the same way.
they will expect a lot from you, and you'll never be free again to say what you think about the religon or even think for yourself.
they will control your life completely.

yesterday, i was at my asperger's syndrome support meeting and i found out something very funny and shocking.
a well respected figure in my mom's congregation is an active homosexual (no, minnesota xjw's, i'm not mentioning any names.
he's an old man that's close to death, let him die in peace).

prior to you leaving the org did you come to the conclusion that if you didnt actually take the step and leave, that you would run into serious mental difficulty.. i really feel that for 5 years proir to my finally leaving i was quite impaired mentally by the teachings and practices of the org.
it was coming to a head though when i finally announced that i was leaving.
i really felt that i was under intense mental pressure and that if i didnt get out then i may end up doing something serious.
I'm still in that state.

you cant change people no matter how hard you try.. money is important as we need it but happiness means more than money.
Regarding health: It's all about "poop".
Regarding everything else: Love others and be kind. If you do this consistently, you can't go wrong.

You have done the right thing in getting control over your drinking problem. I agree with you, God is merciful and just and he has forgiven you. I'm sorry your BOE feel you need further punishment.
If I were you I would get reinstated and slowly fade out. Re-establish your relashionship with family and friends and drift away with you head held high. Prove to them that you can live a good and moral life w/o being under the control of the WT.

this article states that a growing number of christians say" the question is better restated, 'why not gain the whole world plus my soul?'......
christians should keep an eye on heaven.
