What's the most meetings you went to in a row, without missing any?
by JH inlets put it at 3 meetings a week.. my record is about 12 meetings in a row without missing.. normally, i'd miss 1 meeting per 2 weeks, in my best days..

I don't think i was ever a 'good' jw, i doubt if i went longer than a two week period without missing a meeting, and that was during the time i was trying to go regularly and used to write down the ones i missed and why!I did used to get bad backache and ibs and was newly and back then not happily married, plus working fulltime and just found it such a struggle!Later on i also found that all the tv programmes i like best always seemed to be on a tues and thurs night, so i missed more than i went to!I also used to miss the memorials and assemblies quite a bit too - tuttut!(come to think of it i bet they're quite glad i've left them now!)

realizing i'm a lot stronger than i thought
knowing my children can grow up to be normal adjusted people
being able to feel comfy with all my non jw family again and feel their support and unconditional love
being able to visit JWD!
Seeing my husbands eyes opening day by day and realizing what a lot of rubbish the jw religion is and seeing him get more supportive of me and becoming a stronger person himself
Making friends with my father in law and having a powerful ally in him to help my husband
realizing that i never have to talk to my step father in law again (nasty elder) hooray!!

They can issue a temporary court order there and then, which lasts until the parents go to court as far as i remember with our case, but then again i've blanked most of it out as i can't bear to remember it.

Nice one Nellie!I got our first one yesterday, a real one. My step dad took me cos i could tell my poor husband was a bit uncomfy about it - however he went to the shops today and came back with two huge bags of decorations for it (half price - he can never resist a bargain!)It is a big step but it will get easier and i bet no one will call at your house at all!

I go on moneysavingexpert martin lewis' site, which has a discussion help board for alll things moneysaving(i like the free samples bit best), and also netmums, which is for mothers and i have contributed quite a bit to a certain topic i saw there recently, about JWs! So i just HAD to chip in and do my apostate bit, and so did three other ex jws as well!

Because after months of worry and feeling constantly sick with doubts, i found this site and if it was'nt for this i'd probably still be a jw. Originally i looked at another site but it was was full of people having a go at each other, and it put me off for a few day so i tried again and found this one! Everyone here is so supportive and are all going through or have gone through the same thing, one way or another being affected by this religion. I think i joined found it in july and soon after began posting, now a few months later i am out of the org, my husband is fading but getting stronger , braver , day by day and v supportive, and i put my xmas tree up today! So a big thanks to everyone here at JWD for all the help and support and helping making leaving the jws much easier than it would otherwise have been you are all great! Debbie
