sorry scully if i'm unclear its not hubbys dad (hes not a jw thank goodness) its sis in laws dad. His bro is married to sis in law. I try now to get hubby to see his mother and shes perfectly healthy but he refuses to go because of how they are with me.

by dobbie inso sis in law father has been on dialysis for yrs and is elderly and hubby just got a text from his bro 'just so you don't put your foot in it ******'s father is stopping dialysis this wk and has 2 wks to live' (hes a jw too).
so i said to hubby he should reply and mention how sorry we are but he said why as they're treating me(dobs) like dirt and he doesn't see why he should.
but although they have cut me out now totally it seems i still think i should do something.

My dumplings turned out crappy.
by IP_SEC inso i spooned them out of my chicken and dumplings and turned it into chicken guisado instead... .
im glad i have tortillas.. just thought you should know.

Yorkshire puds are gorgeous (when made properly lol) made from batter like pancakes and put in tin to make small individual round ones or big ones. I usually cheat now and buy ready ones that cook in 4 mins!
And my dinners wrecked now cos i did an extra lot of roast potatoes cos i was going to just have that with bread sauce and nothing else and i was so busy reading this thread i overboiled them and now looks like mash!

thanks Sad Emo by aerating do you mean whisking it alot?Also i can't use lard as i'm veggie so use oil. Unless you can get a veggie lard cos you can get veg suet, will have to check it out!

thanks i am going to write it out later when the kiddies are asleep, as think i need quiet to think what to put down in case they misconstrue it. I thought they may just throw the card away as well, but as i won't be there to see it i won't know either way so it own't matter. Its horrible to think they are going to be hurting and they can't accept our help but fortunately she has alot of jw friends to help her.

Did you ever play 'WATCHTOWER HOOKY' ?
by AK - Jeff inlong before we 'figured it out', i think we were tiring of the whole routine and demands, though we could not admit such openly, even to each other for the most part.
but i recall occasionally 'oversleeping', and in some cases i had woke early enough but just intentionally let time go by and got up 'running late'.
our family 'tradition' was to stop for breakfast at a local restuarant on the way to the kh.

I missed loads of them particularly book study nights!After working fulltime going home and cooking dins etc i'd be worn o ut and i always had a bad back and headaches in those days which was always worse on meeting nights - honest!Anyway i even got spoke to about it several time by several sisters, you know the type that drag themselves there full of germs to pass on to everyone else. Made me so mad i ended up missing th ebook study for a whole year - never understood that Daniel book anyway.
Once the kids came along i missed more, got black looks for taking them there if they were noisy, got told off for taking a couple of cars for them to play with or other non wt things for them to do - hello theyre baby/toddlers they dont want to underline jehovah in every paragaraph !We used to leave after the public talk or first half of other meeting sometimes. Also when i was first married i'd sometimes deliberately start a row with hubby to get out of going - horrible wasn't i!

I make mine with vegetable suet, they always turn out delicious, if only i could cook yorkshire puddings!
IP_SEC you said it turned out too soggy, do you think you might have put too much water in them?
Boy i fancy veg stew and dumps now but its way too hot over here to cook that, already cooking the lads a roast dinner.(without the yorkie puds)

thanks guys, i will send a card, i would feel too bad if i didn't and i carry enough guilt around with me already. I hate it that things have to be this way, its not normal but at least i will know i have shown them that i do still care about them all, (even if i do moan about them like mad for shunning me!). Thanks for your replies, i really appreciate it. I feel so sorry for him, he was always a sweet tempered mild person, horrible to think of how hes going to suffer now.
