Well, if you're a bundle of loveliness like Crumpet (I've met her in person), then it's not too hard, but if you're a beer-bellied old fart like me it takes a bit of effort.
Having said that, I developed a relationship with a woman in Florida. Although we have never met, and probably never will, we have corresponded by email every week for the past 8 years and I consider her a very close friend.

But to be honest, if there was going to be another bank holiday, I'd prefer it in the Autumn- how about November the 5th? Lots of fireworks and activities then anyway,and it's all about the triumph of democracy over terrorism. Not to mention, it's along drag from the August bank holiday through to Christmas.

at the top of my list of course is bruce lee, but i quite like some of the modern films, particularly stephen chow stuff like kung fu hustle or shaolin soccer.
i don't watch them very often but i find them slightly mesmerising, even though they are mostly ludicrously far fetched.
Have you seen Tony Ja in 'Warrior King'? Amazing fight scenes, especially in the burning temple. Very reminiscent of Jackie Chan (who has a brief cameo appearance at the airport)

Other than that, I find Steven Segal's low-energy style more realistic than most martial artists - after all, how many times can you be kicked in the head and remain standing in real life?

wts doctrine was in their top 7 doctrines right behind: 1) only 144,000 go to heaven, 2) the earth will be turned into a paradise,.
3) god is not a trinity, 4) not to take blood, 5) hell is not hot, 6) be no part of the world, 7) this generation will not pass away until of.
Yes, I remember talking about it with my P.O. father-in-law at the time. When this Watchtower first came out I saw right away that this was a majorchange, but most JWs, including my father-in-law, just couldn't or wouldn't understand that. He was convinced until the day he died, several years later, that nothing had changed.
I really believe that many old-timers, even now, simply refuse to accept the 'new light', hanging on with the forlorn hope that they will see the end of 'this generation' in their lifetime.

I don't believe the 'end' will come in 2012. BUT the Mayans had an amazing knowledge of astronomy and knew things centuries before their time. I think they worked out that the Sun would eclipse the centre of the Milky Way (from Earth's standpoint) in the year 2012, and they were right. That's kinda amazing.
anyone with personal experience concerning big screen tv's?
I have an LG 42" Plasma that I'm very happy with. When I was reading up on it last year the technology of both was advancing quite fast. I think longevity of plasma is now nearly comparable with LCD, and LCD viewing angles have improved. It's all a matter of personal taste, but I liked the warmer, more life-like picture of the plasma.
The one thing I don't like is the screen burn-in you get with plasma if an image stays still too long (i.e. a news channel ticker along the bottom) though this goes with time.
