Cell phones give people the ability to text or speak with one another at virtually any time. However,there are occasions when Christians donot want to be distracted by their phone.For instance, our meetings are a time to worship Jehovah, receive spiritual instruction, and enjoy
an interchange of encour agement. (Deut. 31:12; Ps. 22:22; Rom. 1:11, 12) Could we turn o? our phone when we arrive and retrieve our
messages afterleaving the meeting? If the possibility of an emergency requires that we leave ourphone on, we should put it on a setting that will not disturb others.

“ Do All Things for the Sake of the Good News.” (1 Cor. 9:23)

At times, thereare valid uses of a cell phone in the ministry. For example, a brother taking the lead might use it to check on those preaching
in others parts of the territory. Publishers sometimes use their cell phone to call an interested person or Bible student before making a visit,
especially if the person lives some distance away. If we have a phone with us, we should take precautionsto prevent it from interrupting us
while weare speaking with a householder. (2 Cor.6:3) While waiting on other publishers,rather than phoning or texting a friend,would it
not be better to keep our attentionfocused on the ministry and those withwhom we are working?

Never would we want tobe lax about being on time for the meetings for ?eld service with the idea that we can always phone or text someone to
?ndout where the group is witnessing. When we arrive late, the group must often be reorganized. Of course, circumstances be yond our control may
occasionally causeus to be late. However, when we make it a habit to arrive on time, we show consideration for Jehovah’s arrangement, the brother
taking the lead, and our fellowpublishers.

i have heard it all now, or at least up to now, the borg never ceases to surprise me.

so when jesus was talking to his deciple from the cross (opps stake), "this is your mother" or something like that, was he talking about the borg?

Worship at the meetings(TM)....REALLY??

there were times when i was a jw that i asked myself :.

'what constitustes actual worship at the meetings?'.

it got to a point where the only worship i could see was a sycophantic arse licking of the governing body.. i found nothing at the meetings(tm) were actually anything like worshipping god.. .

i was heading home today, and i saw one woman reading a new world translation.

we made eye contact, but i hope i didn't glare at her or anything... since i was already having a bout with depression today, it didn't help to see her.

so then she gets off the train, right?

Thanks for posting this SD-7.

I always look at the Witnesess on the train rushing to underline and "study" the lesson form the WT/GB/FDS. It's sad. It's like the have some kind of pression to read the stupid material. They don't look Christian at all, just belonging to a crazy cult.
