Thanks Caminante. I thought, I may be right or wrong, that the WT applies this verse only to the anointed. I may be right or wrong.

Who cares about 2014
by konceptual99 ini keep seeing posts expressing a view that 2014 is going to trigger a significant increase in unrest amongst witnesses as it's 100 years since 1914. there has also been some suggestions that the society will have to publish something to head this off at the pass.
i can understand why this might seem a reasonable view but i am not hearing any discontent about the date amongst anyone i know.. my impression is that the significance of a 100 year anniversary of 1914 is of more import to those that have left the organisation and those already questioning things than it is to the average dub.. i also suspect that the society will not do anything that may raise the profile of 100 years passing.
much more likely is more subtle messages such as the one in the jan magazine about "false alarms".

1914 in the mind of the regular witness is just "the year Christ got his Kingdom", no more. So, 2014, in their minds it means nothing. The regular witness don't have a clue Bible Theology.

the only logical l reason why the end did'nt come
by nowwhat? inyou ca'nt deny the many bible truths we have learned so how can the wt society have been so wrong about the "end"?.
one can accept the reason why it did'nt come in 1975, "jehovahs wants people to worship him out of love and not for a date".
but it should have come by the late 1980's .

" the WTS is great at sounding knowledgeable about something and later making totally contradictory statements that sound just as knowledgeable." (Ding)
That's an excellent description of how they work.

Ok,
Reading this section from Jwfacts http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/144000.php (Thanks for that excellent website!) I came across this scripture:
John 6:53-57 "Accordingly Jesus said to them: "Most truly I say to YOU, Unless YOU eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, YOU have no life in yourselves. He that feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has everlasting life, and I shall resurrect him at the last day; for my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. He that feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood remains in union with me, and I in union with him. Just as the living Father sent me forth and I live because of the Father, he also that feeds on me, even that one will live because of me."
My question is what is this "last day" that Jesus was refering to? Was it the "Last Days", meaning, according to the WT, after 1914, is it the "last last day" after the big A and all that? or, was it after 1919 or something like that when the anointed supposedly began to go the heaven according to the Borg?
I mean, how many "last days" and you get and never get to the end?
Thanks fot your imput.

The January 1st Watchtower Admits That JWs Have Been Wrong As To Their Expectations Of The End!...but
by minimus inthey excuse it by saying, it's ok since at least they were on the watch.. i believe they should think about god's view of watchmen who constantly gave false pronouncements.
they would be judged accordingly by god!.

GB/FDS: The apostles didn't publish their so-called "wrong expectations" for other to believe and teach.

does anyone dream they are on the ministry?
by pajaha inor maybe that should be "nightmare" - not dream.. it happens less and less, but still does now and again after 10 years.
it's always associated with a great feeling of dread and going from door to door knowing you do not believe what you are saying (i should point out that, while i was in it, i pretty much did believe it).. i guess it shows how big a part of our lives it once was - a bit like you often dream of being in school or of long-departed relatives..

If you dream you are out in the ministry, please don't forget to count your time when you wake up
